Disclosed is a thermoplastic elastomer composition obtained by dynamically crosslinking a composition composed of a component (A), a component (B) and a component (C) with 0.05 to 5 parts by mass of a crosslinking agent per 100 parts by mass of the component (A). The component (A) is 50 to 85 parts by mass of an acrylic rubber prepared by copolymerizing a monomer mixture mainly containing an alkyl acrylate and also containing 0.5 to 15% by mass of an epoxy group-containing monomer. The component (B) is 15 to 50 parts by mass of a thermoplastic polyester resin. The component (C) is 1 to 35 parts by mass of a graft copolymer or a precursor thereof per 100 parts by mass of the total of the components (A) and (B), and the graft copolymer is composed of an olefin polymer segment and a vinyl copolymer segment.

Thermoplastic elastomer composition

An olefinic thermoplastic elastomer with improved properties can be obtained by melting and kneading a graft copolymer, acrylic rubber, a crosslinking agent, and a co-crosslinking agent. The graft copolymer is composed of an olefin polymer segment formed from a nonpolar &#x3b1;-olefin monomer and a vinyl polymer segment formed from a vinyl monomer, with particles of one segment being dispersed in the other segment. The particle diameter is 0.01 to 1 &#x3bc;m. The acrylic rubber can be obtained by polymerizing a monomer mixture containing methoxyethyl acrylate.

Olefinic thermoplastic elastomer and moldings thereof

A graft copolymer having a structure in which a vinyl copolymer segment formed from a vinyl monomer having an acid is suspended in a molecular chain of a polyolefin resin segment via a &#x3b2;-substituted propylene group is obtained, by reaction of polyolefin resin having &#x3b2;-substituted propenyl group as a pendant and a vinyl monomer having an acid, and further a graft copolymer composition containing the same and a molded product thereof are obtained. The obtained graft copolymer, the composition containing the same and the molded product thereof are excellent in adhesive property to a polar material and scratch resistance.

Graft copolymer, composition containing the same and molded object thereof, and process for producing the same

A thermoplastic resin composition having excellent characteristics such as impact resistance and coatability is described. The thermoplastic resin composition contains a propylene based polymer and a graft copolymer having an olefin homo/co-polymer portion forming its main chain and a vinyl copolymer portion forming its branched portion. In the graft copolymer, the proportion of the olefin homo/co-polymer portion is 5 to 95% by weight, and the vinyl copolymer portion occupies the remaining weight. The vinyl copolymer portion of the graft copolymer has a hydroxyl group as a functional group. One of the olefin homo/co-polymer portion and the vinyl copolymer portion forms a dispersed phase in the other with a particle size of 0.001 to 10 .mu.m. Consequently, the graft copolymer assumes a multi-phase structure. The thermoplastic resin composition optionally further contains a thermoplastic elastomer.

Thermoplastic resin compositions

A grafted aromatic polycarbonate resin is produced by melt-kneading a graft precursor comprising a mixture of 35 to 95% by weight of aromatic polycarbonate resin particles and 65 to 5% by weight of vinylic copolymer containing active oxygen, the vinylic copolymer being present in the aromatic polycarbonate resin particles, thereby subjecting to grafting reaction of the aromatic polycarbonate resin and the vinylic copolymer, where the grafting reaction can be sufficiently carried out and thus the grafted polycarbonate resin is useful for molding materials for optical disks, optical lenses, etc. a polymer blend-compatible agent, adhesives, paints, etc.
