A physical quantity measurement device is provided which is capable of measuring a component in a fluid to be measured even when the fluid contains droplets such as fine water droplets. The physical quantity measurement device includes, at an inlet opening () of a sub-channel (), an inflow direction regulator () which includes guide pieces () each of which is inclined at predetermined angle θ with respect to the flow direction in a main channel (). The angle θ of inflow direction regulator () is set to a value that is greater than 90 degrees in relation to the flow direction of the main channel ().

Physical quantity measurement device

A fluid instrument information providing device comprises a gas usage amount integrating section for integrating the usage amount of a gas for each of the kinds of gas instruments which is determined by a gas instrument determiner section, based on a change in the flow of the gas which is measured by the flow measuring section; an instrument information generating section for generating a plurality of gas instrument information including charge information relating to the gas instrument corresponding to the integrated usage amount for each kind of the gas instrument which is integrated by the gas usage amount integrating section, based on the integrated usage amount; an information selecting section operated by a user to select gas instrument information from among the gas instrument information generated by the gas instrument information generating section; and an output section for outputting instrument information selected by the information selecting section.

Fluid instrument information providing device

A gas leakage detection system includes a flow path, a dual mode valve disposed in the flow path, an ultrasonic measuring section including a pair of ultrasonic transducers, disposed in the flow path upstream from the dual mode valve, a flow rate calculation section for computing a flow rate based on a signal from the ultrasonic measuring section, and a control section for controlling the dual mode valve. The control section closes or opens the dual mode valve instantaneously, and the flow rate calculation section computes a flow rate when the dual mode valve is closed. Thus, gas leakage can be decided substantially without stopping a gas flow when a user is using the gas.

Gas leak detection system

A gas type identification system includes: a flow path; an ultrasonic measurement section disposed in the flow path, the ultrasonic measurement section including a pair of ultrasonic transducers; a sound velocity calculation section for calculating a sound velocity of a gas flowing through the flow path based on a signal from the ultrasonic measurement section; a sound velocity memory section for previously storing a predetermined sound velocity; and a comparison section for comparing the sound velocity calculated by the sound velocity calculation section with the predetermined sound velocity previously stored in the sound velocity memory section.

Gas type identification system

An equipment specifying system of the present invention includes: a flow path for supplying gas to a plurality of pieces of equipment; an ultrasonic propagation signal measuring section for measuring a propagation signal based on a time during which an ultrasonic wave propagates across the flow path; a signal pattern generation section for generating a signal pattern based on a change in a propagation signal; a signal pattern storage section for previously storing a plurality of signal patterns respectively corresponding to a plurality of pieces of equipment; a signal pattern comparison section for comparing a signal pattern generated by the signal pattern generation section with a plurality of signal patterns previously stored in the signal pattern storage section; and an equipment specifying section for specifying currently used equipment among a plurality of pieces of equipment, in accordance with the comparison results obtained by the signal pattern comparison section.

Flow rate measurement method and ultrasonic flow meter

A fluid flow control assembly which comprises an inlet defining structure through which a fluid medium flows in one direction, a partitioning member for dividing the fluid flow into first and second fluid streams, an outlet defining structure positioned downstream of the inlet defining structure and including a pair of outwardly diverging guide walls, first and second deflector vanes disposed in respective paths of travel of the first and second fluid streams for controlling the respective directions of flow of the first and second fluid streams, and a passage defining structure for providing a passage for guiding a third fluid stream in a direction generally at right angles to the direction of flow of any one of the first and second fluid streams. The partitioning member may be a partition wall, a cylindrical column or a cylindrical burner.

Fluid flow control assembly

In the outlet part of a fluid passage generally rectangular in cross section defined by two parallel opposed broad walls spaced apart a short distance therebetween and two opposed narrower walls spaced apart a longer distance therebetween, the narrower walls curve outwards forming guide walls, and a row of deflecting blades of curved profile extend between the broad walls and are held in angle-adjustable manner between said curved faces of the guide walls to effectively deflect fluid flow without loss of flow rate by the attachment effect to the curved faces.

Flow deflecting assembly

A fluid deflecting assembly is disclosed primarily for use in an outlet port of an air conditioning unit for controlling the direction of an air flow discharged from the outlet port. The fluid deflecting assembly comprises a tubular body having a flow passage for passing a fluid flow axially therethrough, a nozzle body mounted on the tubular body and having a nozzle disposed downstream of the flow passage in a direction of the fluid flow, a restriction surface extending downstream of the flow passage in surrounding relation to the nozzle, and a guide wall surface extending downstream of the nozzle and flaring radially outwardly from the nozzle in surrounding relation thereto, and a bias flow shield disposed in the flow passage upstream of and radially outwardly of the nozzle for adjustably blocking a portion of a bias fluid flow directed by the restriction surface toward the nozzle. A fluid flow discharged out of the nozzle is deflected by the bias fluid flow as modified by the bias flow shield so as to be attached to the guide wall surface. The discharged fluid flow can be deflected in desired three-dimensional directions through a wide angle by rotating and/or axially moving the bias flow shield.

Fluid deflecting assembly

A fluid deflecting assembly comprising a passage defining structure having a fluid passage defined therein for the passage of a fluid stream in one direction therethrough and having a fluid inlet and a fluid exit spaced apart from the fluid inlet, and at least one group of deflector blades pivotally supported within the passage defining structure adjacent the fluid exit for movement through a predetermined angle and arranged in such a curved row that, when the deflector blades are pivoted in one direction to a deflecting position, the deflecting blades altogether form a generally continuously curved guide wall extending within the passage defining structure so as to diverge away from the direction of flow of the fluid stream through the passage. The guide wall is operable to draw the fluid stream close thereto to deflect the fluid stream as a whole by the Coanda effect known per se as it emerges outwards from the fluid exit.

Flow direction controller

An electric fan assembly comprises a generally cylindrical cross-flow fan, a rear guider, and a stabilizer. The rear guider has a downstream edge with respect to the direction of flow of an air current and is hingedly connected with a pivotable plate. By the utilization of the adherence effect of the air current to the pivotable plate, the direction of flow of the air current is controlled by pivoting the pivotable plate. In other words a slight pivotal movement of the pivotable plate is sufficient to bring about the deflection of the air current over a relatively large angle. The fan assembly may be employed in an air-conditioner in which case a relatively high air-conditioning efficiency can be obtained.

Electric fan assembly

A fluid deflecting assembly for deflecting a fluid medium in any desired direction, particularly suited for use in an air conditioner, which has a nozzle for issuing a main stream of fluid as the fluid passes therethrough, a guide wall at a position downstream of the nozzle and having substantially a diverging shape in a direction downstream with respect to the direction of flow of the main stream and opening outwardly in a direction away from the nozzle, and a control device for controlling the mode of flow of the fluid at a position upstream of the nozzle. The nozzle has a relatively small thickness in the direction of flow of the fluid therethrough and is so shaped as to constrict the flow of the fluid as the latter passes therethrough.

A fluid deflecting assembly is constituted by first and the second walls, the former having a curved portion to cause the adherence of the outlet flow and the latter having a substantially straight portion to cause the adherence of the outlet flow and having a ridge at its upstream end and a control vane rotatably positioned within a passage formed by the first and the second walls. The control vane is able to rotate around a shaft thereby causing wide deflection of the outlet flow due to the existence of the two walls. The height and position of the ridge is such as to help the vertical downward deflection of the outlet flow along the curved portion. The length and position of the straight portion is such as to help the horizontal deflection of the outlet flow along the straight portion.

A fluid diverting assembly particularly suited for use as a component for a fluid exit structure of an air-conditioner, which has a passageway through which a fluid medium flows. The passageway includes a nozzle for issuing a fluid stream as the fluid medium passes therethrough, a pair of spaced opposed guide walls having a shape diverging from each other in a direction downstream with respect to the direction of flow of the fluid stream and opening outwardly in a direction away from the nozzle, and a deflecting blade supported in the passageway between the upstream and downstream ends of the nozzle for movement between first and second extreme positions for changing the direction of flow of the fluid stream emerging from the passageway in such a manner as to control mutual interference between one of currents flowing on one side of the deflecting blade and the adjacent guide wall thereby controlling the direction of flow of the fluid stream.
