A method for producing toner particles by a suspension polymerization method or a dissolution suspension method comprising: applying an inorganic dispersion stabilizer-containing liquid (liquid A) to a part that can come into contact with a polymerizable monomer composition or toner particle composition, the part being on an inner wall of a vessel used in a polymerization step or a vessel used in a solvent removal step; after the application of the liquid A, carrying out the polymerization step or solvent removal step; discharging the contents of the vessel after the completion of this polymerization step or solvent removal step; and after the contents of the vessel have been discharged, bringing an acidic aqueous solution (liquid B) to dissolve the inorganic dispersion stabilizer into contact with the inner wall of the vessel.

Method for producing toner particles

The toner having a significantly improved dispersibility of a colorant in toner particles is provided. The present invention provides a dry toner comprising: (i) a binder resin; (ii) a colorant; (iii) at least one of metallophthalocyanine and a metallophthalocyanine derivative having a central metal selected from the group consisting of Cr, Fe, Co, Ni, Zn, Mn, Mg, and Al; and (iv) a polymer containing 0.5 to 20% by mass of a base unit derived from a specific polymerizable monomer having an amide group.

Dry toner, method for producing dry toner, and method for forming an image

The toner having a significantly improved dispersibility of a colorant in toner particles is provided. The present invention provides a dry toner comprising: (i) a binder resin; (ii) a colorant; (iii) at least one of metallophthalocyanine and a metallophthalocyanine derivative having a central metal selected from the group consisting of Cr, Fe, C o, Ni, Zn, Mn, Mg, and Al; and (iv) a polymer containing 0.5 to 20% by mass of a base unit derived from a specific polymerizable monomer having an amide group.

A color toner (magenta toner) showing not only color image forming performances such as color reproducibility, gradation characteristic, light-fastness, full-color image forming characteristic and a chargeability but also excellent in matching with various members of an electrophotographic apparatus is produced from a binder resin, a wax component and a specific monoazo pigment composition. The monoazo pigment composition is characterized by a principal monoazo pigment of a specific structure and specified amounts of a &bgr;-naphthol derivative and an aromatic amine, usable as materials for synthesizing the monoazo pigment.
