Provided is a method of producing a composition comprising a thermoplastic resin and a rubber, wherein a solid rubber is molten by a rubber kneading machine and fed into an extruder, and the molten rubber is melt-kneaded with the thermoplastic resin in the extruder. The composition has a uniform component ratio and excellent moldability, and can be used widely as raw materials of molded articles, sheets, films and containers.

The laminate comprising a metallic foil, a layer made of a liquid crystal polyester resin composition and a layer made of a fiber material of the present invention has an excellent heat resistance, a low relative dielectric constant and a low dielectric loss tangent, an excellent appearance, and additionally, the laminate can be produced in an industrially inexpensive and simple manner. A liquid crystal polyester resin composition comprising a liquid crystal polyester (A) in a continuous phase and a rubber having a functional group reactive with the liquid crystal polyester (B) in a dispersed phase. A liquid crystal polyester resin composition of the present invention is excellent in heat resistance, molding processability and mechanical properties, particularly in impact resistance and tensile property, capable of improving anisotropy of a molded article. A liquid crystal polyester resin composition film made of a liquid crystal polyester resin composition comprising (A) 56 through 99% by weight of a liquid crystal polyester and (B) 44 through 1% by weight of a thermoplastic resin having an epoxy group and molded with uniaxial orientation, with biaxial orientation, by blown film extrusion or by laminating. A thermoplastic resin composition contains a liquid crystalline polyester, an aromatic polycarbonate, glass fibers surfaces of which are not treated and which have a number average fiber diameter of 5 to 25 .mu.m, a number average fiber length of 30 to 1000 .mu.m, and a ratio of a number average fiber length to a number average fiber diameter of 2 to 150, and optionally a diamine. A thermoplastic resin composition containing (A) 100 parts by weight of at least one modified polyphenylene ether selected from the group consisting of (A1) a modified polyphenylene ether having repeating units of the formula (1): ##STR1## in which R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are, independently from each other, a hydrogen atom or a hydrocarbon group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms and having a number average polymerization degree of 20 to 1200, in which 0.02/X to 1/X of methyl groups at the 2- and/or 6-positions of phenylene group are modified to an aminomethyl group in which X is a number average polymerization degree and (A2) a modified polyphenylene ether comprising polyphenylene ether to which an amino group-containing monomer is graft polymerized, and (B) 0.1 to 70 parts by weight of an epoxy group-containing ethylene copolymer comprising (a) 50 to 99% by weight of ethylene units, (b) 0.1 to 30% by weight of unsaturated carboxylic acid diglycidyl ester units or unsaturated glycidyl ether units and (c) 0 to 50% by weight of ethylenically unsaturated ester compound units, which composition has improved molding processability and impact resistance.

The present invention provides a hollow molded article container of a liquid polyester resin composition which is superior in moldability, heat resistance, gas barrier properties and gasoline barrier properties. The liquid polyester resin composition comprises a liquid crystal polyester as a component (A) and an epoxy group-containing ethylene copolymer of 50.0 through 99.9% by weight of an ethylene unit (a), 0.1 through 30.0% by weight of an unsaturated carboxylic acid glycidyl ester unit or unsaturated glycidyl ether unit (b) and 0 through 49.9% by weight of an ethylenically unsaturated ester unit (c) as a component (B), wherein the component (A) is 56.0 through 99.0% by weight and the component (B) is 44.0 through 1.0% by weight. The invention also provides a hollow molded article container composed of a laminated structure comprising a layer of the liquid crystal polyester resin composition above and a layer of a thermoplastic resin.
