[PROBLEMS] To provide a softening detergent composition capable of washing a fibrous manufactured article or the like having softening ability, and at the same time allowing a clay mineral to be less likely to remain on clothes. [SOLVING MEANS] A softening detergent composition containing (a) 2 to 20% by mass of clay granules containing as a main component a smectite clay mineral represented by the following general formula (I), provided that a Na/Ca mass ratio in the granules is 1.0 or more: [Si(MgAl)O(OH)].X/n [Me](I), wherein a, b, and x satisfy the formulas 0&#x3c;a&#x2266;6, 0&#x2266;b&#x2266;4, 0.2&#x2266;x=12&#x2212;2a&#x2212;3b&#x2266;1.2; Me is at least one member of Na, K, Li, Ca, Mg and NH; and n is valency of Me; (b) 3 to 9% by mass of a nonionic surfactant; and (c) 12 to 27% by mass of an anionic surfactant, provided that a salt of a fatty acid is excluded; and the softening detergent composition used for hand-washing.

A softening detergent composition containing (a) 1 to 30% by mass of a clay mineral; (b) 0.5 to 20% by mass of a compound capable of releasing hydrogen peroxide in water; (c) 0.1 to 20% by mass of a compound represented by the following general formula (I) or (II): wherein Ris an alkyl alkyl group having 4 to 13 carbon atoms; Ris an alkyl group having 5 to 13 carbon atoms; M is hydrogen atom, or alkali metal atom, alkaline earth metal atom, ammonium or alkanolamine, or a combination of both; and 10 to 60% by mass of a component corresponding to a surfactant as prescribed in JIS K 3362:1998, wherein a mass ratio of the component (b) to the component (c) [component (b)/component (c)] is from 3/4 to 20/1. The softening detergent composition is suitably used as a softening detergent for fibrous manufactured articles such as clothes.

The present invention relates to a process for preparing uni-core detergent particles having a degree of particle growth of 1.5 or less and a bulk density of 500 g/L or more, comprising the steps of (A-I) mixing base particles for supporting a surfactant which have an average particle size of from 150 to 500 &mgr;m and a bulk density of 400 g/L or more &lsqb;Component (a)&rsqb; with a surfactant composition &lsqb;Component (c)&rsqb;; (A-II) mixing a mixture obtained in Step (A-I) with a powdery builder &lsqb;Component (b)&rsqb; of which primary average particle size is from 3 to 30 &mgr;m; and (A-III) mixing a mixture obtained in Step (A-II) with a fine powder &lsqb;Component (d)&rsqb; of which primary average particle size is smaller than that of Component (b). By using the process of the present invention, the uni-core detergent particles which are excellent in the dissolubility and the flowability properties can be prepared.
