First circumferential grooves (first compressed air supply grooves, first pressure oil supply grooves, and a first coolant supply groove) formed on a first sliding surface, and second circumferential grooves (second compressed air supply grooves, second pressure oil supply grooves, and a second coolant supply groove) formed on a second sliding surface are formed in a rotary joint to be opposite to each other when seen from a radial direction of the rotary joint. In one pair of the opposite first circumferential groove and second circumferential groove, a type and a use of a fluid flowing in the first circumferential groove is the same as a type and a use of a fluid flowing in the second circumferential groove.

Rotary joint

A space-saving floating joint including a locking mechanism that locks a swing of a movable base with respect to a fixed base is provided. A floating joint includes: a fixed base; a movable base; a floating mechanism that floatingly supports the movable base swingably with respect to the fixed base; and a locking mechanism that fixes the movable base in a state of not being swingable with respect to the fixed base. The floating mechanism includes a spherical bearing having a spherical surface, and a spherical washer part that supports the spherical surface slidably. The locking mechanism is provided in an inner part of the spherical bearing.

Floating joint

A tool stocker includes main stockers for holding a plurality of tools detachably mounted on a main spindle for machining a workpiece, an auxiliary stocker for holding and transferring tools to and from the main stockers, and a tool transfer mechanism for transferring tools between the main stockers and the auxiliary stocker. The auxiliary stocker includes a plurality of tool pods for removably supporting the tools therein, a rail in sliding engagement with outer surfaces of the tool pods, a chain for moving the tool pods in sliding engagement with the rail, and a motor for actuating the chain. The rail has a recess defined therein in alignment with the tool transfer mechanism, such that the tools transferred by the tool transfer mechanism pass through the recess.

A machine tool has a Z table sliding in the Z direction in a horizontal plane, a support body provided on the Z table and sliding in the vertical direction, a rotation arm supported at the support body and endlessly rotatable in a vertical plane facing work, an arm motor for rotating the rotation arm, a processing spindle rotatably supported and placed at a position of a distance R from the center C of rotation of the rotation arm, and a spindle motor for rotating the processing spindle.

A multi-spindle head exchangeable machine tool is provided with a plurality of multi spindle heads movably mounted on an annular rail. When a workpiece is machined by driving a rotary tool by a machining unit, multi spindle heads of the plurality of multi spindle heads being out of use can be separated from the machining unit. Further, a connecting device is provided with an inner slider, ball bearings fitted to an outer periphery of the inner slider, an outer slider, and a coil spring to press the outer slider toward a stopper member.
