A turbocharge includes: a compressor wheel; a turbine wheel configured to rotate with the compressor wheel; a turbine housing disposed so as to cover the turbine wheel; a bearing supporting a rotational shaft of the turbine wheel rotatably; and a bearing housing accommodating the bearing. One of the turbine housing or the bearing housing includes a fin portion protruding toward the other one of the turbine housing or the bearing housing so as to extend along an axial direction of the rotational shaft, and, between the turbine housing and the bearing housing, a cavity is formed on each side of the fin portion with respect to a radial direction of the rotational shaft.

Turbocharger

A turbocharger includes: a rotating shaft which extends along an axis; a turbine wheel which is provided on one end side of the rotating shaft; a compressor wheel which is provided on the other end side of the rotating shaft; a rolling bearing which includes an inner race fixed to an outer circumferential surface of the rotating shaft, an outer race surrounding the inner race from an outside in a radial direction, and rolling bodies arranged between the inner race and the outer race and rotatably supports the rotating shaft around the axis; a housing which covers the rolling bearing from an outer circumferential side with a gap between the housing and an outer circumferential surface of the rolling bearing; and a plurality of lubricating oil supply lines through which lubricating oil is supplied to different locations in the housing at different state quantities.

The supercharging system and the internal combustion engine according to the present invention are provided with: a first supercharger (); a second supercharger (); an electric motor () connected to a shaft end of a first compressor (); a generator () connected to a shaft end of a first turbine (); a bypass exhaust pipe (L) that allows exhaust air to bypass the first turbine (); a cooler () that cools the generator (); and a control device () that activates the cooler () when the generator () is driven by exhaust air that has driven the first turbine ().

A turbine housing includes: a housing body which includes a turbine housing part housing a turbine wheel, an inlet section forming an inlet flow passage for guiding exhaust gas to the turbine housing part, an outlet section forming an outlet flow passage for discharging the exhaust gas from the turbine housing part, and a waste-gate flow passage which brings the inlet flow passage and the outlet flow passage into communication so as to bypass the turbine housing part; and a sleeve disposed along an inner wall surface of the housing body forming the waste gate flow passage, at least on a downstream side of the waste-gate flow passage of the housing body with respect to a flow direction of the exhaust gas.

A turbine housing includes: a housing body which is configured to accommodate a turbine wheel and which includes an inlet section forming an inlet flow passage for guiding exhaust gas to the turbine wheel, and an outlet section forming an outlet flow passage for discharging the exhaust gas from the turbine wheel; and at least one sleeve disposed along an inner wall surface of at least one of the inlet section or the outlet section of the housing body. The present invention provides a turbocharger including: a rotating shaft; a turbine wheel; a compressor wheel; a rolling bearing including an inner race fixed to an outer circumferential surface of the rotating shaft, an outer race surrounding the inner race from the outside in a radial direction, and rolling bodies arranged between the inner and outer races and that supports the rotating shaft to be rotatable about an axis; a housing that covers the rolling bearing from an outer circumferential side via a gap between the housing and an outer circumferential surface of the rolling bearing; and a lubricant supply line configured to supply a lubricant into the housing. The turbocharger includes an operating state detection unit that detects an operating state of the turbocharger and a lubricant regulating unit configured to regulate the flow rate of the lubricant flowing through the lubricant supply line depending on the operating state.

Turbocharger, engine system, and control method for turbocharger

A supercharger includes a first introduction part having a first flow channel; a second introduction part having a second flow channel; a chamber into which the exhaust gas is introduced; an outlet part having one or a plurality of outlet flow channels; and a valve member housed in the chamber. The chamber has a first introduction port that leads to the first flow channel, a second introduction port that leads to the second flow channel, and one or a plurality of outlet ports that lead to the outlet flow channel. A main circulation space is secured. The valve member is capable of opening or closing, and allows two or more opened ports among the first introduction port, the second introduction port, and the outlet port to communicate with each other through the main circulation space.

Supercharger and internal combustion engine

A turbocharger includes a rotating shaft which extends along an axial line thereof, a turbine rotor which is provided on one end side of the rotating shaft, a compressor rotor which is provided on the other end side of the rotating shaft, a roller bearing which rotatably supports the rotating shaft around the axis line between the turbine rotor and the compressor rotor, a housing which covers the roller bearing from an outer peripheral side of the roller bearing, and a tubular sleeve which is provided inside the housing, which is disposed on an outer peripheral side of an outer ring of the roller bearing with a gap for holding a lubricant between the sleeve and the outer ring, and at least part of which is formed of a damping material.

An oil-drain device for a thrust bearing includes: a rotor shaft; a collar member mounted to an outer periphery of the rotor shaft; a thrust bearing supporting the rotor shaft in an axial direction; and an oil-drain space forming member defining an oil-drain space through which lubricant oil leaking from a sliding portion of the thrust bearing flows, between the thrust bearing and the oil-drain space forming member. The oil-drain space includes: an oil-drain channel defined between a first end surface of the thrust bearing and a first end surface of the oil-drain space forming member, surrounding the flange portion of the collar member; and an oil-drain port formed below the oil-drain channel, for discharging the lubricant oil flowing through the oil-drain channel outside the oil-drain space. The oil-drain space is configured to guide the lubricant oil flowing through the oil-drain channel to outside the oil-drain space via the oil-drain port, along a flow direction of the lubricant oil flowing through the oil-drain channel from an upstream side toward a downstream side in a rotational direction of the rotor shaft.

Oil-drain device for thrust bearing device and turbocharger provided with the same

A motor rotor structure for an electric turbo charger is manufactured at low cost with good quality by fixedly fitting, over a shaft, a rotor core having electromagnetic steel sheets pre-formed as an integrated stack. The rotor structure includes a rotor core which is rotated by a magnetic field formed by a stator in a housing; a shaft configured to rotate a compressor impeller and the rotor core together; and a bearing supporting the shaft. The rotor includes the rotor core including the electromagnetic steel sheets; a stopper portion formed at an intermediate portion of the shaft to restrict axial movement of the rotor core; and a pressing unit which presses the rotor core fitted over the shaft against the stopper portion. The pressing unit prevents a circumferential phase shift between the shaft and the rotor core by a pressing force thereof.

Motor rotor structure for electric turbo charger and method of assembling same

An area ratio of a flow-path cross-sectional area Aof the waste-gate channelto a flow-path cross-sectional area Aof a merging portion is not more than 0.2, the merging portion being a part at which exhaust gas having passed through the turbine merges. A widened portionA at which the flow-path cross-sectional area increases is disposed on the outlet of the waste-gate channel.

Waste-gate valve device

An object is to improve fuel consumption, drivability and exhaust gas purification by efficiently converting waste heat of the engine into electrical power and storing the electrical power in a dedicated electric storage so that the boost pressure from the electric air compressor can be flexibly outputted. The electric supercharging device includes a steam cycle device configured to expand the steam generated by waste heat of an engine to rotate an expander, a first generator connected to the expander and configured to generate an electrical power by torque of the expander, a dedicated battery which stores the electrical power generated by the first generator, and an electric supercharger configured to drive a compressor with a motor driven by the electrical power of the dedicated battery to generate compressed air.

Electric supercharging device utilizing waste heat of internal combustion engine and power supplying method thereof

A rotary machine is provided with: a flange section protruding in the radial direction of a rotating shaft which rotates about an axis and rotating together with the rotating shaft; a stationary bush disposed at a distance in the direction of the axis from the flange section, surrounding the outer peripheral surface of the rotating shaft, and provided in a housing supporting the rotating shaft so as to be immovable in the direction of the axis relative to the rotating shaft; and a rotation bush which is disposed between the flange section and the stationary bush so as to be sandwiched there between in the direction of the axis, covers the outer peripheral surface of the rotating shaft, and is rotatable relative to the rotating shaft and the housing while floating in fluid. The rotation bush has, on the surface thereof which faces the direction of the axis, a land surface and a tapered surface which is continuous with the land surface.

Bearing device and rotary machine

The flow-through characteristics of twin exhaust gas scroll passages of a turbine are made equal to each other. A tongue which partitions the scroll portions into outer peripheral portions and inner peripheral portions includes a front-side tongue and a rear-side tongue that respectively close the two exhaust gas passages at the outer peripheral portion. The inner sides of the front-side tongue and the rear-side tongue, and the minimal outflow width portions of the front-side passage and the rear-side passage, respectively, are formed substantially parallel to each other at a downstream end of the outer peripheral portion.
