A torque variation absorbing device includes a driving plate coupled to a driving shaft, a flywheel including a flywheel body and a driven plate arranged coaxially with the driving plate to be rotatably supported thereon and a spring mechanism. A damping and torque limiting mechanism and a hysteresis mechanism are interposed between the driving plate and the flywheel. The hysteresis mechanism includes a hysteresis plate which is fixed in the circumferential direction, a rubber member and a lining interposed between a distal end of the hysteresis plate and the flywheel and a spring urging the distal end of the hysteresis plate for pressing the lining onto the flywheel.

Torque variation absorbing device

The torque variation absorbing device comprises a first flywheel, a second flywheel, a spring mechanism, a damping and torque limiting mechanism and a hysteresis mechanism. The hysteresis mechanism comprises a friction plate and a cone spring interposed between the first and second flywheels. The friction plate comprises a friction lining and a ring plate fastened to the friction lining. The ring plate has a connecting element to be connected with the first or second flywheel. A space is formed between the friction lining and the connecting element, and therefore, when the friction lining material is fastened, such as by hot-pressing or adhesive, to the ring plate, the space prevents friction lining material from flowing out before hardening and adhesive agent from spreading. In this arrangement of the device, when the friction force of the friction plate has worn the hysteresis mechanism is able to obtain a stable hysteresis.

A seat assembly for vehicles is provided which prevents the damage to a seat sliding mechanism upon a collision of the vehicle occurring and includes a seat frame which improves the strength of the combination between the seat frame and a bracket connected with a back rest frame. The construction of the seat for a vehicle is such that an upper rail is positioned or enclosed in a lower rail, the seat frame has a rectangular shaped channel found therein and the bracket connected with the back rest has a projection portion engaging with the rectangular shaped channel concave portion.

Seat assembly for vehicles

A device for adjusting the height of a cushion pad in the front part of the seat cushion of a seat, for example, for a vehicle, which has a hard plate disposed laterally of the seat cushion under the cushion pad, and a rotating mechanism connected to a shaft disposed under the cushion pad for rockably moving the front edge of the hard plate elevationally up and down between a position in the vicinity of the seat cushion frame and an upper position remote from the seat cushion frame. With this connection, the device can simultaneously adjust the height and the hardness of the cushion pad in response to the occupant's individual favorite value.

A seat cushion having a member in the shape of, for example, a net embedded in a cushion pad, having required portions exposed above the surface of the pad, and formed from a material which is weldable by high frequency electric heating. The exposed portions are welded to a pad cover to secure it to the pad.

An occupant's side holding device for the seat back of an automotive seat in which occupant's body side holders are rockably provided in the lateral direction of the seat back at both the right and left side of the seat back comprising operating shafts vertically provided at both the right side and left side, a threaded shaft rotatably journaled to the seat back frame and an interlocking rod being connected between the operating shafts for symmetrically operating the shafts. A rockable arm is further secured to one operating shaft and is integrally formed with the operating shaft to be rocked in the lateral direction of the seat back upon rotation of the threaded shaft by a handle operated by the occupant. Thus, the interval between the occupant's side holders can be variably adjusted in response to the occupant's favorite side holding state of the seat by turning the handle.

A seat track apparatus for a seat of a vehicle having a chamber floor which includes an upper rail fixedly attached to a lower portion of the vehicle seat and having a reverse U-shaped cross-sectional configuration so as to form opposed shoulders and opposed side walls and including a first pair of projecting portions longitudinally projecting from the opposed shoulders and a second pair of projecting portions longitudinally, laterally projecting from the opposed side walls, and a lower rail fixedly attached to the floor of the vehicle chamber and having a U-shaped cross-sectional configuration and including a pair of upper flanges at an upper end portion thereof and a pair of projecting portions corresponding to the pair of projecting portions of the upper rail at the opposed side walls.

Seat track apparatus for vehicle seat

A heat-rest mounted at the upper edge of a seat back of a seat for a vehicle. The head-rest has stays in upright positions extending between upper and lower ends on upstanding brackets provided on both sides on the upper edge of the seat back frame, and a locking unit for locking the head-rest at desired height. Thus, the mounting strength of the head-rest can be reinforced while providing a good appearance without exposing the stays.
