A power system includes a charge circuit connecting a low voltage circuit to a high voltage circuit; a charge control unit configured to execute an auxiliary charge control to charge a low voltage battery; a BCM configured to accept an ON operation or an OFF operation; and an auxiliary charge timing setting unit configured to set an auxiliary charge timing at which the auxiliary charge control is to be executed during a standstill period, the standstill period starting from acceptance of the OFF operation and ending at acceptance of the ON operation. If a soak time is shorter than an auxiliary charge-allowing period, the charge control unit executes the auxiliary charge control at the auxiliary charge timing set by the auxiliary charge timing setting unit, whereas if the soak time is longer than the auxiliary charge-allowing period, the charge control unit does not execute the auxiliary charge control.

Power system for vehicle

A vehicle communication system includes a mobile terminal having a display screen in which display ON and OFF of the display screen can be operated by a user and a vehicle that performs communication with the mobile terminal in a first interval period when a connection has been established. The vehicle has an in-vehicle control unit that, before the connection is established, sends an inquiry signal for establishing the connection to a vicinity of the vehicle in a second interval period. The mobile terminal has a control section that, before the connection is established, performs scanning operation that enables the inquiry signal to be received in a third interval period. The control section can set the third interval period so as to be operational in at least two periods and sets the third interval period to the high-speed mode when the display of the display screen is on.

Vehicle communication system

A remote engine starting system includes a portable terminal that is carried by a user and a vehicle that allows an engine to be started in response to receiving an engine start signal transmitted from the portable terminal. The vehicle periodically transmits a query signal for establishment of a wireless communication link with the portable terminal to a predetermined range surrounding the vehicle to define a predetermined wireless communication area of the vehicle. A control unit of the portable terminal determines, based on whether the wireless communication link with the vehicle is established, whether the portable terminal is within the wireless communication area. The control unit transmits an engine start signal when the portable terminal enters the wireless communication area surrounding the vehicle while automatic start setting is enabled by the user.

Remote engine starting system

An alert system includes a vehicle that transmits predetermined verification information within a communication range and a portable terminal that performs a predetermined alert operation on receiving the verification information. The portable terminal includes a control part that stores reference status being status of the vehicle and needing no alert operation. The control part regularly receives the verification information within the communication range. The control part determines that an alert operation is necessary when the portable terminal is moved out of the communication range from inside of the communication range and when a result of comparison between the verification information received immediately before the portable terminal is moved out of the communication range and the reference status stored in advance indicates that the verification information and the reference status are different. The control part performs the alert operation when it is determined that the alert operation is necessary.

Alert system for user of vehicle

An interior antenna of a vehicle communication apparatus for performing wireless communication with a portable terminal device present inside a cabin is disposed in the cabin. The interior antenna includes left and right leaky coaxial cables that can transmit high-frequency band radio waves into the cabin. The left and right leaky coaxial cables are positioned under the cabin and inside left and right door inner panels in a vehicle with direction, either above left and right side sills or at end portions in the vehicle width direction above a floor panel, and extend in a vehicle front-rear direction.

Antenna arrangement structure for vehicle communication apparatus

An electric power transmission apparatus for a vehicle includes: a radio receiver that is capable of receiving a radio wave of a predetermined frequency transmitted from outside of the vehicle, and that is capable of executing a search operation of searching for the radio wave by shifting reception frequency from a current reception frequency at a predetermined shift speed, and stopping shifting of the reception frequency when a radio wave is received at or above a predetermined receiving intensity; and an on-vehicle device that interrupts transmission of the electric power to a mobile device performed by an electric power transmitter while the radio receiver is executing the search operation.

Electric power transmission apparatus for vehicle

An automatic vehicle wiper system including a wiper, a speed sensor which measures vehicle speed, a rainfall measuring device which measures amount of rainfall during predetermined intervals, a calculating device which calculates a wiping action frequency of the wiper as first data, depending on the amount of rainfall measured by the rainfall measuring device, a memory device which stores the first data calculated by the calculating device as second data when the vehicle speed measured by the speed sensor decreases to equal to or less than a predetermined value, and a wiping action frequency determining device which determines the wiping action frequency of the wiper by comparing the first data and the second data when the vehicle speed measured by the speed sensor becomes equal to or greater than a predetermined value after it has been confirmed that the vehicle has stopped.
