Provided is a silicone composition having high curability even under low-temperature treatment conditions, and exceptional storage stability, the silicone composition being capable of imparting excellent flexibility to fibers as a fiber treatment agent, and also having exceptional washing durability; specifically, a silicone composition containing (A) 70-98 parts by mass of organopolysiloxane having a group represented by formula (1) at the end of the molecule or in a side chain (in the formula, Ris a C1-8 divalent hydrocarbon group, a is an integer of 0-4, Rare each independently a hydrogen atom, C1-10 monovalent hydrocarbon group, or acyl group, and at least one group shown by Ris hydrogen) and (B) 2-30 parts by mass of blocked polyisocyanate having two or more isocyanate groups per molecule, 50% or more of these isocyanate groups being blocked by a thermally dissociable blocking agent.

Silicone composition, silicone emulsion composition, and fiber treatment agent

A blocked polyisocyanate-containing curable silicone composition includes an amino group-containing organopolysiloxane, a blocked polyisocyanate and a catalyst which is an organic base compound and/or a metal compound. The composition has a high curability even under low-temperature conditions and, when used as a textile treatment, imparts textile fibers and products with good softness and water absorbency, and also has an excellent durability to washing.

Microemulsion composition and a fiber treating agent

A silicone microemulsion composition obtained by microemulsifying a carboxy-modified organopolysiloxane, and having a lower surface tension than conventional microemulsions. The composition includes 100 parts by mass of a specific carboxy-modified organopolysiloxane (A), 25 to 75 parts by mass of a specific polyether-modified organopolysiloxane (B), 0.1 to 10 parts by mass of an anionic surfactant, and 20 to 6,000 parts by mass of water, wherein the average particle size of the emulsion particles is not more than 100 nm.

Fabric treating composition, detergent and softener, and fabric article treated therewith

Disclosed is a novel modified organopolysiloxane compound characteristically having carboxylalk(en)ylcarbonyl groups substituting for the hydrogen atoms on the N atoms in an aminoalkyl group-containing organopolysiloxane as introduced by the reaction of a dicarboxylic acid anhydride such as maleic anhydride and succinic anhydride with an aminoalkyl group-containing organopolysiloxane. This modified organopolysiloxane compound serves as a principal ingredient in an aqueous emulsion composition for a finishing treatment of various fabric material to impart excellent touch feeling of softness to the fabric material with little problem of yellowing of the fabric material unavoidable with conventional aminoalkyl group-containing organopolysiloxane compounds. The inventive modified organopolysiloxane compound in the form of an aqueous emulsion is also useful for a waterproofing treatment of paperboards for plasterboards to serve as a covering sheet on the core board of hydrated gypsum.

Disclosed is a hair-care treatment toiletry composition, such as hair shampoo and hair rinse compositions, capable of imparting excellent smoothness and pliability as well as an adequate moisturized touch feeling to the hair treated therewith. The hair-care treatment toiletry composition contains, as the characteristic ingredient in addition to the usual ingredients acceptable as constituents of a hair-care treatment toiletry composition, a specified amount of a specific morpholino-modified diorganopolysiloxane, e.g., a dimethylpolysiloxane substituted by 3-morpholinopropyl groups for a part of the methyl groups as bonded to the silicon atoms in the organopolysiloxane molecules.

A silicone oil used, for example, as an electric insulation oil can be imparted with greatly increased flame retardancy when it is compounded with a soluble platinum compound, e.g., chloroplatinic acid, and an alkynyloxy, e.g., ethynyloxy, containing compound or, in particular, an ethynyloxy-containing organosilicon compound. The heat resistance of the silicone oil composition can be further improved by admixing the composition with an organosilicon compound having at least one imino-containing aromatic group such as a 4-anilinophenoxy group bonded to the silicon atom.

Flame retardant silicone oil composition

Silicone fluid-based electric insulation oils can be imparted with greatly enhanced flame retardancy when the base organopolysiloxane contains 0.1 to 30% by moles of vinyl groups relative to the monovalent hydrocarbon groups bonded to the silicone atoms and is admixed with a platinum compound soluble therein, such as chloroplatinic acid, dissolved thereiin in a specified amount. The flame retardancy of the organopolysiloxane/platinum compound composition can be further improved by the addition of a low-viscosity fluorinated hydrocarbon oil such as an oligomeric polymer of chlorotrifluoroethylene.
