An object of the present invention is to find a cationic electrodeposition coating composition excellent in throwing power, anti-GA gas pinhole properties, and anti-corrosion properties, and to provide a coated article excellent in these coating film properties. The present invention provides a cationic electrodeposition coating composition containing an amino-containing epoxy resin (A), a blocked polyisocyanate curing agent (B), and a pigment (C), the amino-containing epoxy resin (A) being obtained by reacting an epoxy resin (A1), a polyphenol compound (A2), a dimer acid diglycidyl ester (A3), and an amine compound (A4).

A lead-free steel for machine structural use with excellent machinability and low strength anisotropy, which does not contain Pb and is equal to or higher than a conventional Pb-containing free cutting steel in properties, is provided. This steel includes, on the weight basis, C: 0.10 to 0.65%; Si: 0.03 to 1.00%; Mn: 0.30 to 2.50%; S: 0.03 to 0.35%; Cr: 0.1 to 2.0%; Al: less than 0.010%; Ca: 0.0005 to 0.020%; Mg: 0.0003 to 0.020%; O: less than 20 ppm; and the balance being Fe and inevitable impurities.

A steel for machine structural use which realizes excellent fracture splitability and fatigue strength in its as-hot forged formed articles, and which comprises, based on weight, 0.2 to less than 0.35% of C, 0.1 to 1.1% of Si, 0.1 to less than 0.3% of Mn, 0.01 to 0.2% of P, 0.01 to 0.2% of S, greater than 0.2 to 0.5% of V, 0.01 to 0.1% of Ti, 0.005 to 0.02% of N and the balance of Fe and unavoidable impurities.
