An actuator includes a stepping motor; a multi-stage gear device including a first stage gear attached to a rotation shaft of the motor, wherein a gear of each stage engages with a gear of a next stage; and a base member on which the multi-stage gear device and the stepping motor are mounted, wherein in the multi-stage gear device, a grease composition for resin is applied to a bearing part of the gear, and to an engaging part between the gears, and the grease composition for resin includes: (a) a base oil including a poly-alpha-olefin oil with a kinematic viscosity at 100&#xb0; C. of 4 to 6 mm/s; (b) a thickening agent which is lithium soap; (c) a viscosity increasing agent; (d) a solid lubricant; and (e) an anti-wear agent, and wherein the NLGI consistency number of the composition is 00, 0, 1, or 2.

Resin gear device with resin lubricating grease composition

A sliding bearing having a metallic outer ring and a self-lubricating liner formed on the inner circumferential surface of the outer ring. The self-lubricating liner has a self-lubricating resin composition consisting of a mixture of 60 to 80% by weight of polyetherketone-based resin, 10 to 30% by weight of polytetrafluoroethylene, 5 to 15% by weight of carbon fiber, and not more than 15% by weight of aramid fiber, a total amount of the carbon fiber and the aramid fiber being 10 to 25% by weight. The inner circumferential surface of the outer ring has a surface roughness in terms of center line average roughness not less than R4.0 &#x3bc;m and a surface roughness in terms of maximum height not less than R30.0 &#x3bc;m; and the outer ring and the self-lubricating liner are unified. A method of producing the bearing is also provided.

The invention provides a grease composition having (A) a lithium soap thickener, (B) as a base oil an ester type synthetic oil obtainable from an esterification reaction of trimethylolpropane with a fatty acid, and (C) (c-1) a 1-naphthylamine type antioxidant and (c-2) a diphenylamine type antioxidant, wherein the contents of (c-1) and (c-2) are 1.0 to 10 mass % in total, based on the total mass of the composition, and the ratio by mass of (c-1) to (c-2) is in the range from 30:70 to 70:30.

Grease composition for bearings with improved heat-resistant acoustic life

The sliding bearing has a metallic outer ring and a self-lubricating liner formed on the inner circumferential surface of the outer ring. The self-lubricating liner has a self-lubricating resin composition consisting of a mixture of 60 to 80% by weight of polyetherketone-based resin, 10 to 30% by weight of polytetrafluoroethylene, 5 to 15% by weight of carbon fiber and not more than 15% by weight of aramid fiber, total amount of the carbon fiber and the aramid fiber being 10 to 25% by weight. The inner circumferential surface of the outer ring has a surface roughness in terms of center line average roughness not less than R4.0 &#x3bc;m and a surface roughness in terms of maximum height not less than R30.0 &#x3bc;m; and the outer ring and the self-lubricating liner are unified. A method of producing the bearing is also provided.

A grease composition for a pivot assembly bearing is provided and includes a thickener of 5 to 25% by mass and a base oil of 95 to 75% by mass with respect to the total mass of the thickener and the base oil. Two or more ureas selected from: urea A: a urea comprising diurea compounds having an aliphatic (ALA)/alicyclic (ACA) substituent; urea B: a urea comprising diurea compounds having an alicyclic (ACA)/aromatic (ARA) substituent; and urea C: a urea comprising diurea compounds having an aromatic (ARA)/aliphatic (ALA) substituent are used as the thickener. A poly &#x3b1;-olefin mixture having a kinematic viscosity at 40&#xb0; C. of 40 to 70 mm/s prepared by mixing poly &#x3b1;-olefin (PAO HV) having a kinematic viscosity at 40&#xb0; C. of 350 to 450 mm/s with poly &#x3b1;-olefin (PAO LV) having a kinematic viscosity at 40&#xb0; C. of 25 to 40 mm/s in a mass ratio of 15:85 to 30:70 is used as a base oil. A lead free additive may be used as an additive.

Bearing for electronically controlled throttle motor

A superfinishing grindstone suitable for precision grinding, that contains either RB (rice bran) ceramic fine grains or CRB (carbonized rice bran) ceramic fine grains or a combination of both, for use as abrasive grains. The grains of RB ceramic fine grains and CRB ceramic fine grains have multiple small pores which allow the grains to be easily removed from a finished structure. There is provided a deodorizing and absorbing material comprising RB ceramics and/or CRB ceramics as an odor absorbing material, which has excellent deodorizing properties and long term persistency thereof and is easily fabricated into a complicated shape when the material is used as a molded product.
