A liquid crystal display module includes: a liquid crystal panel; a back chassis having a bottom that supports a substrate, the substrate having a plurality of light sources; a frame having four independent wall members respectively extending in parallel to four sides of the liquid crystal panel, the frame supporting the liquid crystal panel; a bezel having four independent plate-like members disposed so as to surround the four sides of the liquid crystal panel and the four independent wall members; an optical film laminate disposed between the liquid crystal panel and the frame; a first reflective sheet opposed to the four independent wall members, and having a bottom face that has a plurality of apertures through which the plurality of light sources are respectively exposed; and four independent second reflective sheets disposed between the liquid crystal panel and the respective four independent wall members.

Liquid crystal display module

There is provided a display apparatus including a holding member disposed between a peripheral part of an optical sheet and a peripheral part of a diffusion plate. The holding member has a first end portion contacting the peripheral part of a rear surface of the optical sheet and a second end portion contacting the peripheral part of the first surface of the diffusion plate. The holding member has a first holding projection for holding the diffusion plate. The first holding projection protrudes from the second end portion along the first surface of the diffusion plate.

Display apparatus having holding member between optical sheet and diffusion plate

This display apparatus includes an optical sheet, and a holding memberholding a peripheral part of the optical sheet. The optical sheet has a hooking partextended from the optical sheet. The holding memberhas a hooked partto which the hooking part of the optical sheet is hooked. The hooked parthas at least one movement-prevention partfor preventing the hooking partfrom moving. Thus, disengagement of the optical sheet from the holding memberand positional deviation of the optical sheet are prevented when heat is generated during driving of the display apparatus and the optical sheet undergoes thermal expansion.

Display apparatus

Display

A plurality of LEDs emit light to a right end surface of a light guide plate. The light guide plate emits the light from a front surface, the light being made incident on the right end surface. The heat dissipater dissipates heat generated by the plurality of LEDs. A backlight chassis supports the light guide plate. The backlight chassis includes: a cover plate for covering a rear surface of the light guide plate; and an upper wall connected to the cover plate, for covering an upper end surface of the light guide plate adjacent to the right end surface. The heat dissipater includes a right side wall for covering the right end surface of the light guide plate. The right end of the upper wall of the backlight chassis and the upper end of the right side wall of the heat dissipater are connected by a non-transparent connecting part.

Backlight device and display apparatus

The backlight device included in the display apparatus is provided with: a light guide plate, a front chassis (pressing member) disposed at the front side of the light guide plate; and a heat sink (supporting member) having a plate-shaped connecting part (connecting plate) disposed at the side of the light guide plate, to be connected with other members. A through hole is formed in the connecting part, and a nut, which is necessary for connecting a bezel and the front chassis with a screw, is press-fitted into the through hole. A portion of the front side end of the connecting part, which is closest to a through hole, is a recessed part. Even if the front side end of the connecting part is deformed by the press-fitting of the nut into the through hole, the recessed part counteracts the deformation, and the connecting part does not interfere with the front chassis. Therefore, positional deviation of the front chassis and the light guide plate does not occur.

An object of the present invention is to provide a lighting device in which a problem is hardly caused by a hole formed in a chassis of the lighting device. A backlight unit (a lighting device)according to the present invention includes an LED (a light source), a flat cable (a flat conductor)connected to the LED, a chassisincluding a hole, a cable protector (a flat conductor protector)including a protection portionand an insertion holeextending through the protection portion. The chassishouses the LED. The flat cableis inserted through the insertion hole. A display device capable of preventing optical members and a display panel from getting in contact with each other and thus from getting a scratch while preventing luminosity at a border portion of the display panel from being lowered. A frame () for a light source device included in the display device includes a front side section () having a substantially square shape that includes an opening and a white-colored inner peripheral surface () around the opening, and a spacer section () disposed between a border portion of the display panel and a border portion of the optical members that is placed on a support face of a chassis, by the spacer section () the display panel and the optical members being kept apart from each other.

Frame for light source device, light source device, and display device

A backlight chassis is constituted by combining a right end chassis plate, a left end chassis plate, and an intermediate chassis plate obtained by cutting a metal sheet into a predetermined shape and pressing. A trough portion is formed in each chassis plate at a portion to be the long side of the backlight chassis, and the trough portions are superimposed at the boundary of adjoining chassis plates. Furthermore, a superimposed portion constituting a beam-shaped portion is provided at the boundary of adjoining chassis plates. The chassis plates are coupled by screws penetrating the superimposed portion of the trough portions or the beam-shaped portions. The right end chassis plate and the left end chassis plate have point symmetric shapes.

Backlight chassis for liquid crystal display panel

In a lighting device for a display device, a clearance is set between an edge portion of a locking piece in a lamp clip, and a hole edge of a locking piece insertion hole provided at a back plate part of the case to correspond to the locking piece, and thereby, relative displacement of the locking piece in the locking piece insertion hole is allowed. According to such a construction, expansion and contraction deformation of the lamp clip accompanying temperature change and a variation in molding accuracy can be absorbed, and therefore, poor assembly of the lamp clip to the case can be avoided.

Lighting device for display device and display device

A sheet delivery mechanism designed to discharge successive sheets to different delivery positions includes offset rollers, an offset unit, an offsetting force generator and an offset unit swinging mechanism. The offset rollers is rotatably supported by the offset unit to discharge each sheet in a sheet transport direction. The offsetting force generator produces a driving force for shifting the offset unit back and forth along a direction perpendicular to the sheet transport direction between a reference position and offset positions. The offset unit swinging mechanism swings the offset unit about an axis parallel to rotary shafts of the offset rollers in such a manner that a sheet output direction in which the offset rollers eject each sheet varies to a direction pointing away from a sheet delivery tray when the offset unit is shifted along the direction perpendicular to the sheet transport direction by the offsetting force generator.

Sheet delivery mechanism

A heating device for heating a recording sheet. The heating device has a first heater located within a heating roller. The first heater has a heat distribution effective to form a low temperature region in an axially central portion of the heating roller and a high temperature region in each of axially opposite end portions of the heating roller. There is a second heater located within the heating roller that has a heat distribution effective to form a high temperature region in the axially central portion of the heating roller, a low temperature region in each of the opposite end portions of the heating roller, and a second-level high temperature region in each of axially opposite end portions of the high temperature region, the second-level high temperature region being lower in temperature than the high temperature region.

An image-forming apparatus is provided which includes a document reading section for reading image information from a document, and an image-forming section for forming an image on a sheet of paper based upon the image information of the document read by the document reading section. A space section is formed below the document reading section, which accommodates the image-forming section and serves as a discharge section to which the sheet of paper bearing the image formed in the image-forming section is discharged. The space section is surrounded by peripheral walls of an apparatus main body including the image-forming section. The image-forming apparatus further includes a paper post-treatment section that subjects the sheet of paper bearing the image to post-treatments, such as an adjustment process and a stapling process, in a virtually horizontal state, and that is placed between the document reading section and the space section.
