A direct coal fired type gas turbine combined power generation system comprises a pressurized gasifier provided with a gas outlet, a gas cooling unit provided for the gas outlet of the pressurized gasifier, a high temperature dust collector unit connected through a line to a gas cooling unit, a gas turbine combustor connected through a line to the dust collector unit, a gas turbine connected through a line to the gas turbine combustor, a gas turbine generator connected through an output shaft to the gas turbine, a heat recovery boiler connected to the gas turbine, a gas refining unit disposed in association with the heat recovery boiler and connected through a line at an upstream side thereof to the gas cooling unit, a steam turbine connected through a line to a downstream side of the heat recovery boiler and the gas cooling unit through a line and a steam turbine generator connected through an output shaft to the steam turbine.

Direct coal fired turbine combined power generation system

A method is proposed for recovering high-temperature exhaust gases of high inflammability in terms of carbonaceous concentration from the partial combustion, at atmospheric pressure or near atmospheric pressure, of a mixture of pulverized bituminous or subbituminous coal and air as oxidizer gas, enriched with oxygen gas in a combustor apparatus having a cylindrical combustion chamber with a tangential injection duct, through which the fuel mixture is introduced into the combustion chamber to develop into a rapidly swirling vortex optimizing burning over a short period of time. As a result, the high-temperature, inflammable exhaust gases are generated, of which the heat is recovered to produce steam in a boiler. After losing portion of their heat to the boiler, the inflammable gases, following purification by a filter and desulfurization unit, recovery for subsequent thermal use in boilers, metallurgical or other chemical processes. The ash and other non-combustible products present in the gases are caused to move out outwardly in the combustion chamber as molten slag, forming the outermost part of the vortex, and flow down along the inner wall of the combustor apparatus into its bottom where the slag is collected through a tapping port at the bottom.

Method for recovering waste gases from coal partial combustor

An apparatus for heating or heating and reduction raw material of a metallurgical furnace, utilizing high temperature waste gases which are released from the same furnace, has one or plural numbers of reactor(s) capable of holding the raw materials in the amount which can be charged in plural numbers of processing in the metallurgical furnace, where the reactor(s) is (are) disposed on a bypass passage connected to a pipe of a waste gas processing apparatus for cooling and scrubbing the waste gases from the metallurgical furnace. A part or all the waste gases are introduced into the reactor(s) and come into contact with the raw materials therein when the blowing in the furnace is performed to a full scale, and the reactor is cut off at the initial and final stage of blowing, whereby the heating or the heating and reduction raw material of a metallurgical furnace is effectively performed.
