The presently disclosed subject matter includes an active proximity system (APS) mountable on an unmanned autonomous vehicle (UxV), the APS comprising: one or more proximity sensors and a processing circuitry; the one or more proximity sensors are configured to sense one or more proximity signals, each of the signals is indicative of the presence of a respective emitter in proximity to the UxV; the processing circuitry is configured, responsive to a sensed proximity signal, to repeatedly: generate maneuvering instructions dedicated for causing the UxV to move and increase the distance between the UxV and the respective emitter; and then generate maneuvering instructions dedicated for causing the UxV to move and decrease the distance between the UxV and the respective emitter; and thereby maintain the UxV within a certain range from the respective emitter defined by the sensed proximity signal.

Proximity navigation of unmanned vehicles

The presently disclosed subject matter includes a UAV surveillance system and method which enables quick and convenient activation of an on-board radar (e.g., in SAR or GMTI mode) without having predefined suitable flight instructions. It enables ad-hoc operation of radar data acquisition devices allowing to switch from EO data acquisition to radar data acquisition or activate a radar side-by-side with an EO sensing device.

Automatic camera driven aircraft control for radar activation

The disclosed subject matter includes, an airborne data library onboard an airborne platform, configured for automatic management of situation awareness data (SAD), the airborne data library comprising an onboard data management system; the on-board data management system comprises a data management unit and an onboard data-repository; the data management unit being operatively connectible to at least one computer processor and configured to: establish a communication link with at least one situation awareness data (SAD) source; obtain situation awareness data from the at least one SAD source; process the SAD based on data management logic being accessible to the data management unit.

Airborne data library

The presently disclosed subject matter includes a system and a graphical user interface configured to enable an Ux V operator (e.g. an APCS operator) to direct the Ux V to view a selected object from a desired viewing angle, notwithstanding the fact that the desired viewing angle of the object is not exposed in a displayed image.

Control interface for UxV

The presently disclosed subject matter includes tracking method and system wherein a succession images is generated at a sensing unit; one or more moving object in the succession of images is identified; an object tag is assigned to at least one of the moving objects to yield in a respective tagged object; responsive to a command received from a control unit indicative of a selected object, identifying a location of the selected object in a latest available captured image, wherein: if the selected object is a moving object, the selected object is identified in the latest available captured image based on a respective object tag; and if the selected object is a stationary object, the selected object is identified using an image or piece thereof comprising the at least one selected object.
