In some examples, systems and methods for formatting ink are provided. Ink stroke data may be received, letters may be identified from the ink stroke data, and spacing may be identified between the letters. A user command and semantic context may be received. An action may be determined based on the user command, the semantic context, and the spacing between the letters. Further, the action may be performed.

In some examples, systems and methods for generating predicted ink strokes, using ink-based semantics, are provided. Ink stroke data may be received, the ink stroke data and a semantic context may be input into a model. From the model, one or more predicted ink strokes may be determined. Further, an indication of the one or more predicted ink strokes may be generated.

Generating predicted ink stroke information using ink-based semantics

A technique leverages a machine-trained pattern-completion engine to successively extract items-of-interest from unstructured data, categorize the items-of-interest, and identify relations in the unstructured data. The technique then generates a structured database based on the information it has identified. In some cases, the items-of-interest represent facts expressed by the unstructured data. The technique also leverages the structured database to perform various application tasks. In one approach, in the course of answering a query, the technique extracts supplemental information from the structured database. The technique then feeds the query and the supplemental information to the pattern-completion engine, and, in response thereto, receives output information that addresses the query. In some cases, the query is part of lengthy prompt information. Here, the technique first involves creating the structured database based on the prompt information, and then presenting the supplemental information extracted from the structured database and the query to the pattern-completion engine.

Guiding a generative model to create and interact with a data structure

Technologies for detecting user input based upon computed gaze of a user are described herein. With more specificity, a computing system receives an initiation command, where the initiation command indicates that the user desires to set forth input by way of gaze. Gaze points are then computed based upon images generated by a camera of the computing system; based upon such gaze points, a portion of the content is progressively enlarged. When the gaze point corresponds to a position in the content desirably selected by the user (when the portion of the content is enlarged), a selection command from the user is received. Upon receipt of the selection command, the computing system performs a computing operation with respect to the position of the content.

An entity-tracking computing system receives sensor information from a plurality of different sensors. The positions of entities detected by the various sensors are resolved to an environment-relative coordinate system so that entities identified by one sensor can be tracked across the fields of detection of other sensors.

Resolution enhancement techniques are described. An apparatus may receive first image data at a first resolution, and second image data at a resolution less than the first resolution. The second image data may be scaled to the first resolution and compared to the first image data. Application of a neural network may scale the first image data to a resolution higher than the first resolution. The application of the neural network may incorporate signals based on the scaled second image data. The signals may include information obtained by comparing the scaled second image data to the resolution of the first image data.

A computing device includes a digital input system that provides digital input functionality for the computing device. The digital input system receives both a first input and a second input. The first input is typically an input with the user's dominant hand (e.g., using a pen, stylus, finger, etc.), and the second input is typically an input with the user's non-dominant hand. The digital input system determines whether a second input is received simultaneously with the first input, and selects one of multiple behaviors for the first input based on whether the second input is received simultaneously with the first input. Various different behaviors for the first input can be selected from, such as freehand or freeform input, constraining digital input corresponding to the first input to be along an edge of a stencil, and so forth.

Different types of user inputs can be input by a user via a keyboard of an input device. These different types of user inputs include, for example, key strikes, multi-touch interactions, single finger motions, and/or mouse clicks. Touch information regarding the pressure applied to the keys of a pressure sensitive keyboard over time (or the contact area of the user input for other types of keyboards over time) is used to classify the intent of the user input as one of the various types of user inputs.

A holographic interaction device is described. In one or more implementations, an input device includes an input portion comprising a plurality of controls that are configured to generate signals to be processed as inputs by a computing device that is communicatively coupled to the controls. The input device also includes a holographic recording mechanism disposed over a surface of the input portion, the holographic recording mechanism is configured to output a hologram in response to receipt of light, from a light source, that is viewable by a user over the input portion.

A method and computer-readable medium are provided for storing files in an official file repository. According to the method, a generic interface is exposed that includes a first method for requesting that a file be stored in a file vault. A record series is maintained that identifies one or more document types that may be stored in the file vault along with a location for each file type within the file vault where files of the type should be stored. A call may be made to the first method including the file to be stored in the file vault. In response to the call, a location for storing the file in the file vault may be identified based on the contents of the record series. Once the location has been identified, the file is stored in the identified location if the file type is in the record series. If the file type is not in the record series or the necessary property values are not received with the call, the file is placed in a holding zone portion of the file vault. The generic interface may further expose a second method for retrieving the file types identified in the record series and a third method for retrieving one or more properties associated with a file type identified in the record series.

A method and computer-readable medium are provided for jointly managing digital assets and non-digital assets. According to the method, a database is maintained that includes one or more digital assets and records corresponding to one or more non-digital assets. A request may be received to perform an action on an asset identified in the database. In response to the request, a determination is made as to whether the request is to perform an action on a digital or non-digital asset. If the request is to perform an action on a digital asset, a first workflow is performed for completing the action on the digital asset. If the request is to perform an action on a non-digital asset, a second workflow is performed for completing the requested action on the non-digital asset.

Method and computer-readable medium for jointly managing digital assets and non-digital assets

A document store delivers a document requested therefrom from a folder having rights information associated therewith. In response to a request for a copy of the document, rights data for the copy of the document is defined based on the rights information of the folder, and the copy of the document and the defined rights data thereof are published to result in a package with the rights data and the copy of the document encrypted according to a content key (KD) to result in (KD(copy)). The formed package is then delivered to the requester. The rights data can be discovered upon the requester attempting to render the package and such discovery triggers a request for a corresponding license based on such rights data. The license includes (KD) therein in a form available to the requester to decrypt (KD(copy)) if the requester satisfies the rights data.
