Inline liquid drug medical device having a longitudinal device axis, a housing with a linear displaceable sliding flow control member displaceable along a transverse bore from a first flow control position for establishing flow communication between a first pair of ports for liquid drug reconstitution purposes to a second flow control position for establishing flow communication between a second pair of ports for liquid drug administration purposes, and a manually operated actuating mechanism for applying a linear displacement force for urging the flow control member to slide along the bore from its first flow control position to its second flow control position.

Inline liquid drug medical devices for use with a source of physiological fluid and a medicinal vessel for liquid drug reconstitution and administration purposes. The inline liquid drug medical devices include a housing having a longitudinal device axis, a rotary flow control member and a vial adapter for transposing the flow control member from an initial first flow control position for liquid drug reconstitution purposes to a second flow control position for liquid drug administration purposes. The inline liquid drug medical devices include a syringe port and a drug dispensing port co-axial with the device axis. The rotary flow control member is rotatable about an axis of rotation co-axial with the syringe port and the drug dispensing port.

Medical apparatus () for use with single use kits () containing a flow control device (), a syringe (), and one or more vials (A,C), for reconstituting a liquid drug dosage and administrating same. The flow control devices () include a core member () having an inlet port () and a flow control member () rotatably mounted on the core member () and having at least one vial port () for attachment of a vial and an outlet port (). Flow control devices () are designed to ensure an inlet port () is in flow communication with a single port () at each flow control position of at least two predetermined flow control positions of a flow control member () relative to a core member (). The medical apparatus () includes a housing () having a syringe support () for horizontally supporting a syringe () and a flow control device support () for horizontally supporting a flow control device (). The medical apparatus () can be designed for either manual operation or automatic operation.

Vial adapter

Liquid drug transfer devices including a vial adapter designed for failsafe correct snap fitting on a medicinal vial for ensuring flow communication with the vial's interior. The vial adapters include at least two non-adjacent vial retention flex members for snap fitting over a vial opening for vial retention purposes and at least two non-adjacent vial guidance flex members longer than their counterpart vial retention flex members for guiding a vial adapter with respect to a vial prior to snap fitting the vial adapter thereon.
