A system for use in monitoring application is described. The system comprises a light detection unit and an illumination arrangement. The detection unit is configured for collecting light returning from a selected inspection region for determining variations in collected light intensity. The illumination arrangement comprises one or more light sources configured for providing illumination of a selected wavelength range directed toward said inspection region. Wherein the illumination arrangement is arranged around the detection unit to provide symmetrical illumination conditions with respect to an axis connecting said detection unit and said inspection region.

System and method for use in photoplethysmography

The invention relates to a method and system for monitoring at least one parameter of an object. There is provided an imaging system for monitoring at least one parameter of movement of a moving object, the system comprises at least one imaging unit comprising an optical transformer configured and operable for applying spatial image space transformation of at least one parameter of movement into geometric relation, by translating different components of six degrees of freedom of movement in a three-dimensional space into a lateral translation; wherein the imaging unit is configured and operable for imaging the moving object on an image plane and generating image data indicative of the moving object in an x-y plane; the imaging system generating motion data indicative of the six degrees of freedom of movement.

Optical transforming and modulated interference pattern of a moving object

A system is described, for use in optical measurement of a sample. The system comprising: an illumination unit configured for providing coherent illumination of one or more selected wavelength ranges and directing it onto one or more selected inspection regions of the sample, a collection unit configured for collecting light returning from the inspection region and generating output data comprising a sequence of image data pieces indicative of secondary speckle patterns formed at an intermediate plane in optical path of light collection, a depth resolving module configured for affecting at least one of the illumination unit and the collection unit for determining an association between collected secondary speckle patterns and depth layers of the sample; and a control unit being connectable to said depth resolving module and configured for operating said depth resolving module and for receiving said sequence of image data pieces from the collection unit and processing said sequence of image data pieces by determining correlation functions between at least portions of said secondary speckle patterns associated with corresponding depth layers of the sample, thereby determining one or more parameter variations along depth of the sample.

System and method for use in depth characterization of objects

A method and system are provided, for imaging a region of interest with pinhole based imaging. The method comprising: collecting input radiation from the region of interest through a selected set of a plurality of a predetermined number of aperture arrays, each array having a predetermined arrangement of apertures and collecting the input radiation during a collection time period, wherein said selected set of the aperture arrays and the corresponding collection time periods defining a total effective transmission function of the radiation collection, generating image data from the collected input radiation, said image data comprising said predetermined number of image data pieces corresponding to the input radiation collected through the aperture arrays respectively, processing the image data pieces utilizing said total effective transmission function of the radiation collection, and determining a restored image of the region of interest. The set of aperture arrays is preferably selected such that said total effective transmission function provides non-null transmission for spatial frequencies being lower than a predetermined maximal spatial frequency.

System and method for imaging with pinhole arrays

The present invention relates to a method and system for condition authentication based upon temporal-spatial analysis of vibrational responsivity. In particular, the present invention provides temporal tracking of reflected secondary speckle patterns generated when illuminating an object with a source of at least partially coherent beam and while applying a stimulated field at different temporal stimulating frequencies.

The radiation collection unit comprises at least two mask arrangement defining at least two radiation collection regions respectively, the mask arrangements are configured to sequentially apply a plurality of a predetermined number of spatial filtering patterns formed by a predetermined arrangement of apertures applied on radiation collected thereby generating at least two elemental image data pieces corresponding to the collected radiation from said at least two collection regions. The control unit comprising is configured for receiving and processing said at least two elemental image data pieces and determining a plurality of at least two restored elemental images respectively being together indicative of a three dimensional arrangement of the region being imaged.
