An integrated process for the production of one or more acetylene derivatives is provided. The integrated process includes a) partially oxidizing a hydrocarbon feedstock to produce a partial oxidation mixture comprising H, CO, and acetylene, b) providing the Hand CO of the partial oxidation mixture to a collocated methanol production process to produce a methanol-containing effluent; c) providing the methanol-containing effluent to a collocated carbonylation process to produce an acetic acid-containing effluent; and d) providing the acetylene of the partial oxidation mixture and the acetic acid-containing effluent to one or more of the collocated acetylene-derivative processes following: i) a vinyl acetate monomer production process; ii) an oxidation unit for the production of formaldehyde from the methanol-containing effluent; iii) a vinyl chloride monomer production process, and/or iv) a 1,4-butanediol production process.

Integrated process for the production of partial oxidation product derivatives

The invention provides for ethylene copolymers having a polymodal CD, wherein under temperature rising elution fractionation (TREF) analysis the ethylene copolymers evidence at least two peaks.

The invention process is particularly suitable for preparing ethylene copolymers having an MIR less than about 35, while retaining narrow CD even at high comonomer incorporation rates, and with certain embodiments providing ethylene copolymers having improved melt strength with the low MIR.

Olefin polymerization process with alkyl-substituted metallocenes

The present invention relates to a process for the polymerization of monomers utilizing a bulky ligand hafnium transition metal metallocene-type catalyst compound, to the catalyst compound itself and to the catalyst compound in combination with an activator. The hafnocene comprises at least one cyclopentadienyl ligand including at least one linear or isoalkyl substituent of at least 3 carbon atoms.

The present invention relates to a process for the polymerization of monomers utilizing a bulky ligand hafnium transition metal metallocene-type catalyst compound, to the catalyst compound itself and to the catalyst compound in combination with an activator. The invention generally relates to a metallocene-based, olefin polymerization catalyst system. The easily processible polymer product has a broad molecular weight distribution, a high molecular weight, and a narrow composition distribution. The catalyst system comprises a first component with a Group-4-6 metal bonded to cyclopentadienyl-containing rings having at least two substituents bonded to the rings in the same position; a second component comprising a Group-4-6 metal bonded to cyclopentadienyl-containing rings having at least two substituents bonded to the rings; and a third component comprising a Group-4-6 metal bonded to cyclopentadienyl-containing rings where one of the rings is substituted identically to the first component and another is substituted identically to the second component. When the substituents of the first and second components are the same, they are bonded to the first component rings at positions different from the bonding positions of the second component rings.
