The invention relates to a spunbonded fabric of endless filaments made of thermoplastic plastic, wherein the endless filaments are designed as multi-component filaments having a core/sheath configuration. The filaments contain at least one lubricant, the lubricant being present exclusively or at least to 90 wt. % in the core component. The mass ratio between the core component and the sheath component is 65:35 to 80:20. The proportion of the lubricant is 250 to 5500 ppm with respect to the total filament.

Continuous-filament spunbond

The invention relates to a nonwoven fabric sheet comprising at least two adjacent layers of spunbonded nonwoven webs, one of which is an elastic layer in the form of a spunbonded nonwoven web comprising elastic fibers formed from a thermoplastic elastomer polymer material. The invention further relates to a method of manufacturing such nonwoven and the use of such nonwoven.

Material webs suitable for use in conjunction with disposable absorbent articles are disclosed herein. The material webs comprise a melt additive that when subjected to thermal energy may be encouraged to bloom across the entirety of the web or in localized areas of the web where localized thermal energy is applied.

The invention relates to a spunbonded nonwoven having crimped multicomponent fibers, wherein a first component of the multicomponent fibers consists of a first thermoplastic polymer material comprising a first thermoplastic base polymer and a second component of the multicomponent fibers consists of a second thermoplastic polymer material comprising a second thermoplastic base polymer that is different from the first base polymer. The at least one of the first polymer material or the second polymer material is a polymer blend that comprises, further to the respective base polymer, between 1 and 10 weight percent of a high melt flow rate polymer that has a melt flow rate of between 600 and 3,000 g/10 min. The fibers have a linear mass density of less than 1.5 denier. The average crimp number of the crimped multicomponent fibers is in the range of at least 5 and preferably at least 8 crimps per cm in the fiber. The invention further relates to a method for making such spunbonded nonwoven, a multilayer fabric wherein at least one layer comprises such spunbonded nonwoven and a hygiene product comprising such spunbonded nonwoven or multilayer fabric.

Spunbonded nonwoven with crimped fine fibers

The invention relates to a method for making a spunbonded high loft nonwoven web comprising crimped multicomponent fibers, the process comprising continuously spinning the fibers, directing the fibers to a spin-belt by deflectors and/or air streams, laying down the fibers on the spinbelt and pre-consolidating the fibers after laydown using one or more pre-consolidation rollers to form a pre-consolidated web, wherein a first component of the fibers comprises a PP homopolymer and a second component of the fibers comprises a PP/PE copolymer, wherein the pre-consolidation rollers are operated at a temperature of smaller 110&#xb0; C. and/or a linear contact force of smaller 5 N/mm.

Method for making a spunbonded high loft nonwoven web

The invention relates to a fabric comprising at least one high loft spunbond nonwoven layer having crimped multicomponent fibers, wherein a first component of the multicomponent fibers comprises a first polymer A and a second component of the multicomponent fibers comprises a blend of the first polymer A and a second polymer B, wherein the melt flow rate of polymer A is at least 25% higher than the melt flow rate of polymer B and wherein the second component comprises at least 40 wt.-% of polymer B.

Nonwoven fabric comprising a high loft spunbond layer

The invention relates to a patterned spunbonded nonwoven fabric sheet comprising a plurality of spunbonded crimped fibers bonded together at a plurality of bonding points, wherein all fibers of the patterned spunbonded nonwoven fabric sheet are spunbonded crimped fibers and wherein the configuration of the fibers within the sheet is inhomogeneous and varies according to a preferably regular pattern. The invention further relates to a method for forming such patterned spunbonded nonwoven fabric sheet from a flat spunbonded nonwoven fabric sheet starting material. Still further, the invention relates to such flat spunbonded nonwoven fabric sheet starting material.

Nonwoven fabric sheet and method for making the same

A laminate is made by first non-crimping or low-crimping continuous filaments to form a first spunbond layer and preconsolidating the first spunbond layer with a heated or calendering roller. Then continuous filaments with a greater crimp than the continuous filaments of the first spunbond layer are deposited as a second spunbond layer over the first spunbond layer to create a two-layer structure. Finally, the two-layer structure of the first and second spunbond layers is consolidated such that a total thickness of the laminate is 0.15 to 3 mm, preferably 0.2 mm to 2.5 mm and especially 0.2 mm to 2 mm.
