The present invention relates a method for optimizing electrical current in a DC link busbar of a power converter system, wherein the power converter system comprises, a first inverter bridge, connected to the DC link busbar at a first end, the first inverter bridge having a first pulse width modulation signal, and a second inverter bridge, connected to the DC link busbar at a second end, the second inverter bridge having a second pulse width modulation signal, measuring a current flowing in the DC link busbar from the first end to the second end, optimizing the current flowing in the DC link busbar by delaying the first pulse width modulation signal and the second pulse width modulation signal from each other with a carrier delay, the invention also relates to power converter and wind turbine with optimizing electrical current in a DC link busbar.

Method for reduction of DC link busbar and capacitor current, by adjustment of a PWM carrier delay

The present invention relates to wind energy park connected to an electrical grid, having airborne wind energy systems (AWES), e.g. with kites. The wind energy park has an electrical DC network connecting the plurality of AWES and a grid converter unit for converting DC to AC, and transmit AC to the electrical grid. The wind energy park control unit controls the AWES to produce electrical power to the electrical grid by alternating between a power production phase, and a recovery phase so to balance the supply of power to the electrical grid according a demanded setpoint. An advantage is that the grid converter may be smaller, as compared to an AC network, because the power is evened out with the negative power from the AWES being in recovery phase. In this way, the invention stabilizes the grid and has a grid forming capability.

A method for establishing a wind turbine generator with one or more Permanent Magnet (PM) rotors. The method comprises the steps of: manufacturing a generator prepared for taking one or more PM rotors, manufacturing one or more rotors comprising a plurality of holding means prepared for retaining PM material, mounting substantially non-magnetized PM material prepared for magnetization in said holding means before or after said one or more rotors are mounted in said generator, connecting a magnetization system for magnetizing said PM material in the generator, and magnetizing said PM material with said magnetization system. The invention also relates to a wind turbine nacelle, a wind turbine comprising said wind turbine nacelle and use of a wind turbine.

Establishing a wind turbine generator with one or more permanent magnet (PM) rotors

The present invention relates to a wind turbine facility comprising a power generator operationally connected to an AC/AC converter adapted to receive variable frequency AC-power from the power generator, and adapted to generate substantially fixed frequency AC-power. The wind turbine facility further comprises a harmonic filter system, and a grid transformer comprising a primary winding being operationally connected to the AC/AC converter, and a secondary winding adapted to be operationally connected to an associated, substantially fixed frequency AC-power supply grid. The grid transformer further comprises a tertiary winding being operationally connected to the harmonic filter in order to suppress unwanted harmonics, such as selected harmonics generated by the AC/AC converter. The turn ratio between the primary and tertiary windings is selected in such a manner that a voltage of the tertiary winding is lower than a nominal voltage level of the associated AC-power supply grid voltage.
