According to an embodiment, a behind-the-ear (BTE) hearing aid unit is disclosed. The unit includes a housing comprising a hollow inner section defined by an enclosed wall surface made of a single inseparable unit, an electronic module, and an ear hook that is permanently or detachably attached to the housing. The housing extends completely along a single curved axis running along the enclosed wall surface from a first end of the housing comprising the ear hook and a second end of the housing opposite to the ear hook. The housing comprises an inlet opening at the second end, wherein the inlet opening is adapted to receive the electronic module in the hollow inner section and the electronic module is adapted to move from the inlet opening along the single curved axis.

A replaceable filter member for a hearing aid device is disclosed. The filter member comprising an unit with a housing configured to be inserted into the ear canal of a user of the hearing aid device. The filter member is configured to prevent ear wax from entering an opening in the housing. The filter member is a one-piece body that is configured to cover several openings in the unit while being attached to the unit.

According to an embodiment, a hearing aid is disclosed. The hearing aid includes a housing, a light guide member, a first light source, and a second light source. The housing includes electronic components configured to generate a perceivable modulated signal in response to a received sound. The perceivable modulated signal is configured to produce a hearing sensation to a user of the hearing aid. The light guide member is arranged proximal to and/or within the housing. The first light source configured to emit a first colored light and a second light source configured to emit a second colored light. The first light source and the second light source are positioned within the housing and arranged in relation to the light guide member such that a substantial amount of the first colored light and a substantial amount of the second colored light are adapted to travel through the light guide member. The light guide member includes dimensions such that the substantial amount of the first colored light and the substantial amount of second colored light are mixed within the light guide member to generate a light of a third color.

According to an embodiment, a hearing aid is disclosed. The hearing aid includes a first functional unit and a second functional unit. The second functional unit is configured to removably couple with the first functional unit. The coupling provides at least a mechanical connection between the first functional unit and the second functional unit. The first functional unit includes a moveable element that is configured to move between a first position and a second position. In the first position, the moveable element is contained entirely within the first functional unit. In the second position, a part of the moveable element is configured to protrude out of the first functional unit. The second functional unit includes a recess configured to receive the part of the moveable element that protrudes out of the first functional unit such that the first functional unit and the second functional unit are immovably locked with respect to each other in response to the moveable element is received in the recess.

A hearing aid retainer accessory to be used together with a hearing aid is provided having a housing with a relatively large diameter longitudinal end face portion and a relatively smaller diameter hook-end to which a hook is attached. The hearing aid retainer accessory comprises an elongated string with a first end portion and a second portion, a first attaching means connected to the first end portion and a second attaching means connected to the second portion, wherein the first attaching means is attachable to a hook of a hearing aid, the second attaching means is attachable to a longitudinal end face portion of a housing of a hearing aid, such that a retaining ring is formed of both the geometry of a hearing aid and the elongated string.

A hearing aid retainer accessory is provided for use with a hearing aid having a housing with a longitudinal end face portion comprising a mechanical connection terminal and an electrical connection point. The hearing aid retainer accessory comprises a retainer element with a first end face portion having a first mechanical connection means configured to be engageable to a mechanical connection terminal of a longitudinal end face portion of a housing of a hearing aid.
