An electronic apparatus includes: a first chassis; a second chassis; a hinge device connecting the first and second chassis in a relatively rotatable manner; a display having a bending region; a first plate; and a second plate. In the first posture, the bending region of the display has a bag-shaped bending shape in cross section that protrudes from end faces of the first plate and the second plate disposed to overlap each other. The electronic apparatus further has a first inclined face protruding from the end face of the first plate to be inclined gradually downward from the surface of the first plate in the protruding direction, and a second inclined face protruding from the end face of the second plate to be inclined gradually downward from the surface of the second plate in the protruding direction.

Electronic apparatus

An electronic device includes a first chassis, a second chassis rotatably connected to the first chassis through a hinge, a display having an organic light-emitting diode (OLED) panel stored in the first chassis, and a control board stored in the second chassis and mounted with a control unit that controls driving of the OLED panel and a first connector. The display includes a Flexible Printed Circuit (FPC) that electrically connects the OLED panel and the control board, and a non-volatile memory that stores first correction data based on an initial state of each pixel of the OLED panel and second correction data based on a usage status of each of the pixels of the OLED panel. The display also includes a second connector connected to the first connector.

Electronic device having connectors on rigid flexible board

A portable information device is described. The portable information device includes a first chassis, a second chassis, a display, and a flexible sheet-shaped member. The display includes a folding region located between the first and second chassis. The sheet-shaped member is attached to a first fixed point located at a position offset from a center of the folding region to a side of the first chassis, and is also attached to a second fixed point located at a position offset from the center of the folding region to a side of the second chassis. In addition, the sheet-shaped member includes a first strength changing section in which a flexural strength decreases gradually from the first fixed point towards a first inflection point, and a second strength changing section in which the flexural strength decreases gradually from the second fixed point towards a second inflection point.

Portable information device having a flexible display

An electronic apparatus includes a first chassis that includes a touch sensor, a second chassis connected to the first chassis to be rotationally movable relative to each other, a touch controller that is installed on the second chassis, is electrically connected with the touch sensor, receives a detection signal that is output from the touch sensor and outputs data that is based on the received detection signal, a detection unit that detects relative rotational movement of the first chassis and the second chassis and a control unit that disables a result of detection by the touch sensor at least in a time period that the first chassis and the second chassis are being rotationally moved relative to each other on the basis of a result of detection by the detection unit.

An information processing apparatus includes a first rubber dome disposed in a first area which is disposed along a first edge which is one side of a chassis and on the side of a second edge of the chassis which is located on the back side of an operation input unit which is connected to the first edge. An electronic apparatus that can secure a space in a bezel while controlling the thickness of a main body, in which a display is disposed, and the width of a bezel to a minimum is disclosed. The electronic apparatus includes a main body having a display and a bezel disposed around the display, a first board that controls an image displayed on the display, and an FPC that connects at least two terminal groups arranged along one side of the display and the first board. The first board is disposed at a position adjacent to the one side in the bezel, and the FPC has a first wiring section connected to at least two terminal groups and extends, grouping together wires at one place on the rear surface of the display, and a second wiring section that connects the wires grouped together by the first wiring section to the first board.

An electronic apparatus having a display is disclosed. The electronic apparatus includes a first main body having a first touch sensor; a second main body having a second touch sensor; a detecting unit that detects whether the second main body is in an open state or in a closed state; and a control unit that controls the first and second touch sensors. When the detecting unit has detected that the second main body is in the open state, the control unit enables the first touch sensor and disables the second touch sensor. When the detecting unit has detected that the second main body is in the closed state, the control unit enables the second touch sensor and disables the first touch sensor.

The system device operates in accordance with at least a first operating system (OS) and a second OS, and outputs first original image data from the first OS and second original image data from the second OS to the timing controller. The display panel includes a plurality of pixels arranged in a predetermined display area. The timing controller includes: a memory; a writing unit; and a reading unit. The memory has a storage area associated with the display area. The writing unit stores the first original image data in a first individual storage area assigned to the first OS in the storage area, and stores the second original image data in a second individual storage area assigned to the second OS in the storage area. The reading unit reads image data stored in the storage area, frame by frame, and outputs the image data to the display panel.

Information processing device and controlling method for multiple operating systems

A portable information device is capable of stably supporting a foldable display. The portable information device has a support plate which is fixed to the inner surface sides of a first chassis member and a second chassis member and supports the rear surface of a display. The support plate has a first plate member disposed on the inner surface side of the first chassis member, a second plate member disposed on the inner surface side of the second chassis member, and a flexible sheet-like member connecting the first plate member and the second plate member so as to be foldable into a double-folded state.

Portable information device

A stand assembly for a portable electronic device is disclosed. The stand assembly enables the portable electronic device to stand horizontally and vertically, as well as standing at an angle. The stand assembly includes a first arm swingably provided by a first hinge on a rear surface side of a chassis, a second arm swingably provided by a second hinge on the rear surface side of the chassis. The stand assembly also includes a connecting section that connects the first arm to the second arm, with the second arm being longer than the first arm.
