Rotating and adjusting mechanism of seat for vehicle

A vehicle seat slide device includes an elongated lower guide rail adapted to be secured to a floor panel of the vehicle body in its longitudinal direction, and an upper slide rail slidably fitted into the lower guide rail. The lower guide rail has a rail body, side walls, slider rest portions and upper guide walls inwardly extending from upper ends of the side walls to define an elongated guide groove. First hook segments are formed on inner edges of the upper guide walls along the elongated guide groove, and second hook segments are formed on the side walls of the lower guide rail, respectively. The upper slide rail includes a slide body, vertical wall, upper slide walls, and lower side walls. In the upper slide rail, slider rest shoulders, first engaging segments, and second engaging segments are also formed. Either one of the slider rest portions may include a rectilinear portion by which one of the sliders is held in point of contact.

Vehicle seat slide device

An adjustable headrest is provided having a main body for supporting the head of the user, a ratchet mechanism within the main body, and a frame rotatably supported on a stay member. The ratchet mechanism includes a base plate fixed to the frame, a ratchet plate with a pawl portion, a support pin connecting the reinforcing plate and the ratchet plate, and a lock member fixed to the frame. The base plate has a receiving hole into which the support pin is inserted. A slit having a width smaller than the outside diameter of the support pin is formed in the base plate and extends backward from the receiving hole such that, when the headrest receives an impact in the backward direction, the support pin moves in the slit while widening the width of the slit under pressure. The resulting backward movement of the pin and the deformation of the slit absorbs the impact.

Adjustable headrest

A seat reclining device comprises a first plate secured to a rear part of a seat cushion and a second plate secured to a seatback. The first and second plates have first and second circulate openings. A drive shaft passes through the first and second circular openings. A lock mechanism is actuated by the drive shaft. The lock mechanism is interposed between the first and second plates to lock the second plate at a desired angular position relative to the first plate when the drive shaft is turned in a first direction and cancel the locked condition of the second plate when the drive shaft is turned in a second direction. A coil spring is disposed about the drive shaft and neatly put in the first circular opening. The coil spring is incorporated with the lock mechanism in such a manner as to bias the lock mechanism to is assume the locked condition of the second plate.

Seat reclining device

Each of a base member and a rotational arm is circular. A ring member is fixed to a peripheral edge of the base member. A peripheral edge of the rotational arm is covered by the ring member and one end of a return spring is engaged with a hook portion formed in the ring member. The other end of the return spring is engaged with fixing members such as bolts, nuts and rivets and so on. A peripheral edge of the nuts as the fastening members is formed in a guide portion for the return spring.

Vehicle seat

A power seat slide device for a motor vehicle comprises a rail unit including a stationary rail mounted to a vehicle floor and a movable rail slidably engaged with the stationary rail. The movable rail carries thereon a seat. A twin gear member is rotatably held by the movable rail. The twin gear member includes a worm gear and a first crossed helical gear. An elongate counterpart structure for the worm gear is possessed by the stationary rail. The counterpart structure extends along the stationary rail and is meshedly engaged with the worm gear, so that rotation of the twin gear member about its axis induces a straight-line movement of the movable rail relative to the stationary rail. An electric motor is held by the movable rail. A speed reduction gear unit is held by the movable rail. The speed reduction gear unit is arranged between the electric motor and the first crossed helical member in such a manner that the twin gear member is rotated by the electric motor through the speed reduction gear unit.

Power seat slide device for motor vehicle

A rotary-cam type reclining device comprises a base fixedly connected to a seat cushion, a toothed arm fixedly connected to a seat back and rotatably supported on the base via a pivot, a toothed block slidably disposed between the base and the arm and having an outer toothed portion and a cam-contour surface and slidably guided by two parallel side walls of a recessed toothed-block guide defined in the base, a rotary cam for producing outward and inward sliding motions of the toothed block to mesh and unmesh the outer toothed portion of the toothed block with and from the inner toothed portion of the arm by a rotary motion of the cam, and an operating lever mechanically linked to the cam for producing the rotary motion of the cam. Also provided between the arm and the toothed block is an auxiliary interlocking member, which is responsive to a deformation of the toothed block resulting from impact force applied to the arm for interlocking the device.

Rotary-cam type reclining device

A reclining device comprises a base fixedly connected to a seat cushion and an arm fixedly connected to a seat back and rotatably supported on the base. The arm has at least one inner toothed portion. A toothed block is slidably disposed between the base and the arm and has an outer toothed portion on an outer periphery thereof and a cam-contour surface on an inner periphery thereof. The base is formed integral with a recessed guide defining therein two parallel diametrically-opposed side walls for slidably guiding the toothed block outward, away from a center of rotation of the arm and inward toward the center of rotation of the arm. A rotary cam has a cam-profile surface on an outer periphery thereof. The cam-profile surface is in cam-connection with the cam-contour surface of the toothed block for producing an outward sliding motion of the toothed block to mesh the outer toothed portion with the inner toothed portion by a rotary motion of the cam in a first rotational direction and for producing an inward sliding motion of the toothed block to unmesh the outer toothed portion from the inner toothed portion by a rotary motion of the cam in a second rotational direction opposing the first rotational direction. An operating lever is mechanically linked to the cam for producing rotary motion of the cam. The two parallel side walls of the recessed guide are formed to guide the toothed block in a direction offset from a direction of a center line of the outer toothed portion of the toothed block by a predetermined angle.

Toothed rotary-CAM type reclining device

A seat slide device including a lower light-alloy guide rail rigidly mounted on a floor panel through a leg member attached to the lower rail, an upper light-alloy guide rail which is slidably fitted to the lower rail and firmly secured to the bottom of a seat, and bearings rotatably disposed between the upper and lower rails, comprises a reinforcement arranged along the inner wall of the rear end of the lower rail for enhancing a rigidity of the rear end. The leg member is arranged along the outer wall of the rear end of the lower rail in a position where the reinforcement and the lower rail are overlapped with each other so that the three members are stratified to each other. The three-stratified members are integrally coupled to each other by fastening rivets. The reinforcement is integrally formed with a bearing stopper restricting a maximum rearward displacement of the bearings.

Seat slide device

A seat slide device for an automotive vehicle which supports a seat to be slidably movable in the front and aft direction. The seat slide device is provided with a seat rail connected to the seat which is slidably connected with a floor rail. A bracket is integrally connected to and vertically projects and extends from the floor rail. The bracket is fittingly connected to a vehicle body with bolts. The bolts are located at a position where they are uncovered by other parts of the device, thereby enabling the easy detachment of the seat from the vehicle body.
