A robot assembly includes at least four load-bearing structural parts connected by joints between each two adjacent structural parts to form a chain, and a joint motor associated with each joint for the driven movement of the structural parts connected by the joint relative to each other. A control device is provided in one of the structural parts which is connected at both ends to an adjacent structural part via an associated joint. The control device is designed to control at least three of the joint motors, and the electrical connection of the control device to each of the joint motors necessary for the controlling process is provided by a separate control line dedicated to the associated joint motor.

Robot assembly

A robot arm with a robot-hand drive device, which has at least three electric motors arranged in an arm boom of the robot arm for driving a multi-axis robot hand of the arm boom, each electric motor having an electric rotor, each of which has a motor shaft. The at least three electric motors are arranged in the interior of a common housing cylinder block, in such a way that each rotor lies in a separate cylinder sector of the housing cylinder block, more specifically with its respective motor shaft running parallel to the center axis of the housing cylinder block, said axis running longitudinally along the arm boom.

A robot arm has a transmission output-side mating running surface on which a dynamic contact seal that seals off the transmission casing in a lubricant-tight manner is seated. A gap is determined by a main bearing arrangement between an upstream link and a downstream link, to which an output flange of a joint torque sensor is coupled, is sealed off by means of a further dynamic seal, with the objective of increasing the accuracy of the torque measurement by optimizing the secondary force flows.

An industrial robot includes a robot control configured to execute a robot program and a robot arm having a plurality of links connected by joints. The joints are configured to automatically adjust the links relative to one another according to the robot program, wherein at least one of the joints is configured as a rotary joint that connects a first link of the plurality of links to an adjacent second link for rotation relative to one another. The first link comprises a shaft sealing ring that has a sealing lip formed from a PTFE material, and the second link has a shaft portion with a running surface formed from a PTFE material, on which the shaft sealing ring bears with its sealing lip in a sealing manner. A method for moving the robot arm in a clean room is also disclosed.
