The invention provides a grease composition for hub unit bearing, having (a) as a base oil a mixture of a hydrocarbon synthetic oil and an ester type synthetic oil, with the content of the ester type synthetic oil being 20 to 50 parts by mass with respect to 100 parts by mass of the total of the hydrocarbon synthetic oil and the ester type synthetic oil, and the base oil having a kinematic viscosity at 40&#xb0; C. of 20 to 80 mm/s, and (b) as a thickener a urea compound.

Grease composition for hub unit bearing

A bearing seal structure includes: a ridge portion provided on an inner race; a groove portion provided on an outer race; and a grease reservoir that is defined by the ridge portion and the groove portion and contains grease for providing a seal between the inner race and outer race.

Bearing seal structure

A sealing device for an axle bearing includes a lubricant maintained on sliding contact surfaces, thereby suppressing elevation of torque due to the depletion of grease. A lubricant-adsorbing layer comprises a thickener and a binder. The lubricant comprises a base oil and a thickener. The thickener and the thickener are mutually attracted. A lubricant layer of a prescribed thickness is formed on the lubricant-adsorbing layer. This lubricant layer adheres closely to the lubricant-adsorbing layer making it difficult to separate the lubricant layer from the lubricant-adsorbing layer.

Sealing device for axle bearing

A sliding part comprises a first sliding member made of a steel, a second sliding member made of a steel, a first carbide film comprising a carbide and formed on the surface of the first sliding member, and a second carbide film comprising a carbide and formed on the surface of the second sliding member. The first sliding member and the second sliding member slide relative to each other while applying loads on each other. The carbide of the first carbide film and the carbide of the second carbide film differ from each other, and the hardness ratio of the first carbide film and the second carbide film is not more than 1.4.

Sliding part

A pin is relatively rotatably fitted into a pin hole formed in an outer link plate of a chain. A plurality of helical grooves are formed on an outer circumferential surface of the pin. A pitch P between adjacent helical grooves in the axial direction is equal to or less than a width in the axial direction of the pin hole of the outer link plate. At least one helical groove is arranged to oppose an arbitrary generatrix on an inner circumferential surface of the pin hole. Also, when a radius of the pin is R and a relative rotation angle with the mating member is &#x3b8;, a pitch P' in the circumferential direction between adjacent helical grooves is R&#x3b8; or less. Thus, at least one helical groove is arranged to always pass each position in a sliding range between the pin and the pin hole.
