A container unit for a drug is composed of a container, which is formed of a cylindrical drug-solution-containing portion and a drug-solution-filling neck portion, and a rubber closure for sealing the drug-solution-filling neck portion. The rubber closure comprises a disk-shaped head portion and a substantially cylindrical leg portion arranged on a lower wall of the head portion. The container is provided with a flat surface formed on a side of its inner wall at a boundary between the drug-solution-containing portion and the drug-solution-filling neck portion such that a lower end wall of the leg portion of the rubber closure can be brought into close contact with the flat surface, and at least a side wall of the drug-solution-containing portion forms a cornerless, rounded surface on a side where a drug solution is to be contained. When the drug-solution-filling neck portion has been sealed with the rubber closure, the lower end wall of the leg portion and the flat surface of the container are maintained in close contact with each other without any protrusion of an inner circumferential edge of the lower end wall into an interior of the container beyond an inner circumferential edge of the flat surface.

A sealing stopper or piston for a syringe which includes a skirt part that is capable of serving as a backstop device, and a prefilled syringe using the same. The skirt part provides a backstop function, i.e. it prevents reverse movement of the piston, without increasing production costs.

A syringe mold with a coolant circulation outward and homeward positioned close to the cavity space and a sufficient coolant circulating flow for cooling a core cylinder is provided. Slide cores () are put in the position where the slide cores () protrude from the circumference of the core cylinder () by moving the slide core operating jig () forward in the axial direction of the core cylinder () while cooling the core cylinder () by the coolant. Then, a two medical agent mixing type syringe having a communicating groove on the inner circumference for mixing two medical agents is injection-molded. A molding failure due to insufficient cooling of the core cylinder () can be prevented by positioning the coolant outward and homeward close to the cavity space and making the cross sectional area of the coolant outward and homeward enough large because the coolant outward and homeward is partitioned by the circumference of the jig container space in the core cylinder ().

Syringe mold

A rubber-made syringe piston with a film laminated on it includes a plurality of annular ridges of different outer diameters formed continuously and integrally on a sliding surface of a liquid-contacting, leading end portion of the piston. The annular ridges may preferably be different by from 0.01 to 0.2 mm from one to another in outer diameter.

A molding die assembly includes an upper die and a lower die, wherein at least one of the upper and lower dies is provided with a cavity corresponding to the shape of a rubber member to be molded, wherein at least one of the upper and lower dies is provided with an annular projection around a cavity. The distance between the upper and lower dies at the annular projection is made smaller than the distance between the opposed surface portions, other than the cavity, of the upper and lower dies. A rubber member produced by the above mentioned molding die assembly is also provided.

Sealing device for medicine container or medical apparatus

A sealing rubber closure is provided for use with a syringe/container specified by ISO (the International Organization of Standardization) and having a Luer nozzle to be inserted into a Luer-nozzle-receiving part of the sealing rubber closure. The Luer-nozzle-receiving part is configured, on a side of an inner end portion thereof, in an untapered cylindrical form to assure tight-fitted insertion of a free end portion of the Luer nozzle and, on a side of a Luer-nozzle-receiving opening thereof, in a tapered, substantially cylindrical form to assure tight-fitted insertion of a basal end portion of the Luer nozzle. A plastic film is laminated on the sealing rubber closure at least in an area of the Luer-nozzle-receiving part, where a free end of the Luer nozzle is to be maintained in contact with the sealing rubber closure.

A cylindrical vial having a bottom, for a medicine, in which an open end of the cylindrical vial is sealed by a needle-penetrable rubber closure through which a needle can be penetrated, the cylindrical vial including a conical bottom end provided opposite to the open end, wherein the apex of the conical bottom end is located on a central axis of the cylindrical vial at the bottommost point inside the cylindrical vial.

A rubber product inspection method for inspecting internal flaws and/or surface defects of a vulcanized transparent or translucent rubber product includes: irradiating illumination light onto the rubber product, so that the light transmitted through the rubber product can be picked-up; and determining an absence or presence of internal flaws of the rubber product, based on an image of the transmitted light picked-up by an image pickup device. An inspection apparatus for executing the inspection method includes a transparent or translucent table on which the rubber product in placed; at least one light source and an image pickup CCD camera which are provided on opposite sides of the table.

Rubber plugs, which are to be used with medical containers or medical devices, are produced by forming a vulcanizable, mixed rubber compound, vulcanizing a resultant formed rubber compound, treating the rubber plug with steam of high temperature and high pressure, treating the rubber plugs in an aqueous solution which has been adjusted to be acidic, rinsing the rubber plugs with high-quality water, washing the rubber plugs with a shower of dust- and germ-free water, and drying the rubber plugs by at least one of far infrared radiation and high frequency heating. The process makes it possible to reduce the number of insoluble fine particles, which are attracted on a surface of each rubber plug, to an extremely low level and moreover, remove (or deactivate) pyrogen substances on and in the vicinity of the surface of the rubber plug.

A laminated rubber stopper having a new structure, capable of being produced in a simple process with a reduced production cost and being excellent in tightness, sealing property and sanitary property, is provided, comprising a top part having a flange part and a leg part provided under the top part of the rubber stopper and to be inserted into the mouth part of a vial, at least a surface thereof to be contacted with a contents in the vial being laminated with a fluoro resin film, in which the lower surface of the flange part has an annular concavity with a cross section of a circular arc from the periphery of the flange to the neck part.
