A gas-recycling device according to an embodiment includes a particle remover, a liquid remover, and a supplier. The particle remover brings a mist of liquid into contact with a gas which includes particles and is discharged from an apparatus, to remove the particles from the gas. The liquid remover removes the liquid from the gas having passed through the particle remover. The supplier supplies the gas to the apparatus.

A material feeder in an additive manufacturing apparatus according to one embodiment includes a feeding unit. The feeding unit includes a container capable of containing a powdery material, a first wall that is provided with a plurality of openings communicated with the container and that at least partially covers a region onto which the material is fed, and an opening-closing part capable of individually opening and closing the openings, the feeding unit forming a layer of the material on at least a part of the region by feeding the material inside the container onto the region from at least one of the openings that is opened by the opening-closing part.

An additive manufacturing apparatus includes an operation unit, a first face, a mover, a supplier, and an irradiator. The operation unit includes a first part and a second part that cover a part of a supply region supplied with a powdery material and facing a first direction are aligned in a second direction, and includes a first opening extending between the first part and the second part in the first direction. The first face of the first part faces the second part, and is provided with a second opening. The mover moves the operation unit. The supply unit supplies an inert gas from the second opening to the first opening. The irradiator is spaced apart from the operation unit, and can emit an energy ray to the supply region through the first opening, and change a position with which the energy ray is irradiated.

Layered molding device

A device for manufacturing a layered object includes a container, a vibration unit, and an energy beam irradiation unit. The container includes a stage, a wall surrounding the stage, and a lid. The vibration unit vibrates raw material powder to planarize a face of the raw material powder supplied into the container. The energy beam irradiation unit irradiates part of the raw material powder with an energy beam to form part of the layered object. The lid presses the raw material powder when the vibration unit vibrates the raw material powder. A space is formed between the wall and the lid in the container when the lid is in contact with the raw material powder. The raw material powder is allowed to flow into the space.
