In a coating evaluation device and a coating evaluation method, information on a coating is acquired. The information on a coating includes material information representing a material of a coating surface, and at least one of shape information representing a curved shape of the coating surface, and surface roughness information representing a surface roughness of the coating surface. An evaluation value that corresponds to a combination of the material information, the shape information, and the surface roughness information is estimated by using an evaluation model that outputs a brilliance evaluation value pertaining to the coating surface in response to an input including the material information, the shape information, and the surface roughness information.

Coating evaluation device and coating evaluation method

An air cell includes a plurality of electrode structures each including a filling chamber for an electrolyte liquid interposed between an air electrode and a metal negative electrode; an electrode housing portion individually housing the plural electrode structures; and a liquid supply unit which supplies the electrolyte liquid to the plural electrode structures. The electrode housing portion includes a plurality of liquid injection holes to inject the electrolyte liquid into the filling chambers of the respective electrode structures and a plurality of liquid junction prevention portions each dividing a space between the liquid injection holes adjacent to each other. Air battery and air battery stack using same

A liquid activated air battery includes: an electrode assembly that includes an air electrode and a metal anode; a battery container that is capable of holding the electrode assembly and electrolytic solution; a supply tank for the electrolytic solution to be supplied to the battery container; a drainage tank for the electrolytic solution discharged from the battery container; and pumps as an electrolytic solution flow mechanism that runs the electrolytic solution from the supply tank to the drainage tank through the battery container. The composition of the electrolytic solution supplied to the battery container is kept constant, and stable power output is ensured.

Liquid activated air battery

An air battery has a cathode layer, an anode layer and an electrolyte layer interposed between the cathode and anode layers. At least one of the cathode and anode layers has a passage forming member such that, when the air battery is adjacently stacked to another air battery, the passage forming member is situated between the air battery and the adjacent air battery so as to form an air passage to cathode layer. The passage forming member has conductivity and the ability to be elastically deformed according to expansion of the electrolyte layer. It is possible by this structure to, when there occurs increase in internal resistance due to expansion of the electrolyte layer, compensate such increase in internal resistance by decrease in contact resistance, maintain the cross-sectional area of the air passage at a predetermined size and prevent decrease in the output of the air battery.

Air battery

An assembled battery includes a plurality of air cells arranged in a horizontal direction and a plurality of connection flow paths. Each air cell includes a storage portion between a positive electrode and a metal negative electrode to store an electrolysis solution. The storage portions of the respective adjacent air cells communicate with each other by the respective connection flow paths. An insulation fluid for electrically insulating the electrolysis solution in the respective adjacent air cells is sealed in the respective connection flow paths.

Assembled battery

Each air battery stacked in a battery pack includes a cathode layer, an anode layer, an electrolyte layer and a frame member having electrical insulation properties and surrounding at least outer circumferences of the electrolyte layer and the cathode layer. The cathode layer includes a fluid-tight air-permeable member located at a cathode surface thereof and having, when viewed in plan, an outer circumferential edge portion situated outside of the outer circumference of the electrolyte layer. The frame member includes a holding portion located a cathode side thereof so as to hold the outer circumferential edge portion of the fluid-tight air-permeable member. The outer circumferential edge portion of the fluid-tight air-permeable member is adapted as a compressed region to which a compressive load is applied in a thickness direction thereof. By this structure, it is possible to achieve both of thickness reduction and high electrolyte sealing performance.

Battery pack

In air cells which are stacked on one another and used as an assembled battery, an electrolytic solution layer is formed between a positive electrode material and a negative electrode material, and one or two or more deformation prevention materials are arranged for preventing deformation by abutting the positive electrode material or the negative electrode material or abutting both of them.

Air cell and assembled battery employing same

An air battery includes a cathode layer and an anode layer sandwiching an electrolyte layer, and an electrically insulative outer case. The cathode layer has a cathode member, a cathode current collector and a liquid tight/gas permeable member. The cathode layer is provided with a contact member between the outer case and the cathode layer, in which the inner end thereof is in contact with the periphery of the cathode current collector, and the outer end thereof is exposed on a cathode-side surface. The outer end of the contact member protrudes outward with respect to a surface of the liquid tight/gas permeable member to an extent reaching at least a plane including an end face of the outer case. Therefore, this air battery can be directly connected to another battery in series, and is suitable for an on-vehicle power source.

An air cell includes a positive electrode and a negative electrode, and an outer frame member located at outer peripheries of the positive electrode and the negative electrode. The positive electrode and the outer frame member are integrally joined together. An assembled battery includes a plurality of air cells, the air cells being stacked on top of each other. This configuration can increase mechanical strength and improve sealing performance for an electrolysis solution in the positive electrode. In addition, a reduction in thickness of the entire air cell can be achieved so that the assembled battery suitable for use in a vehicle can be provided.

An air cell includes a positive electrode layer, an electrolyte layer stacked on the positive electrode layer, a negative electrode layer stacked on the electrolyte layer and an electroconductive liquid-tight ventilation layer stacked on the positive electrode layer, the electroconductive liquid-tight ventilation layer being positioned on the opposite side of the positive electrode from the electrolyte layer. The assembled battery is provided with a plurality of the air cells described above. The assembled battery is provided with a flow path through which oxygen-containing gas flows interposed between the electrically-conductive liquid-tight ventilation layer of a first air cell and the negative electrode layer of a second air cell adjacent to the first air cell. The first air cell is electrically connected to the negative electrode layer of the second air cell via the electrically-conductive liquid-tight ventilation layer.

Air cell and assembled battery using the same

Provided are a liquid activated air battery and an assembled liquid activated air battery, which can be reduced in size, as well as a method of using the liquid activated air battery and the assembled liquid activated air battery. The liquid activated air battery includes: an electrode assembly comprising a cathode and an anode; and a space that serves as a liquid container to store a liquid component of an electrolyte of the air battery before injection and also serves as a gas flowing member through which oxygen-containing gas of an active material of the air battery flows after injection. The assembled liquid activated air battery includes a plurality of the liquid activated air battery.

Liquid-injection-type air battery, liquid-injection-type air battery pack, and method for using liquid-injection-type air battery or liquid-injection-type air battery pack

In an air battery system, a decrease in power output and an increase in inner pressure during discharge are prevented even when deposition of the reaction product increases with the discharge and the volume of the electrolytic solution increases with progress of the reaction. The air battery system includes an air battery a reservoir tank to reserve electrolytic solution to be supplied to the air battery and a reaction product sump to store reaction product produced in the air battery, the reaction product sump provided between the air battery and the reservoir tank.

Air battery system

A composite electrode for an electricity storage device of the present invention includes: a substrate; a whisker or a fiber which is made of at least one of a metal and a metal compound and is formed on the substrate; and a coating layer which contains an active material and is formed on at least a part of a surface of the whisker or the fiber.
