An intervertebral cage and intervertebral cage apparatus and a method for using the intervertebral cage and/or the intervertebral cage apparatus. The intervertebral cage can be any desired material including a memory material. The intervertebral cage apparatus can include the intervertebral cage and one or both of a variable volume pouch and a deployment cable. The variable volume pouch can be inserted into an internal volume of the intervertebral cage and affixed to the intervertebral cage. The variable volume pouch can be filled with material to achieve an expanded state. The variable volume pouch can assist in the deployment of the intervertebral cage. The deployment cable can be attached to the intervertebral cage and can include features to facilitate that attachment. The deployment cable can apply a force to the intervertebral cage to deploy the intervertebral cage, and can include features to lock the intervertebral cage in the deployed configuration. An implantation tool can be used to apply force to the intervertebral cage to deploy the intervertebral cage.

Intervertebral cage apparatus and system and methods of using the same

A minimally invasive intervertebral implant includes a circuitous body defining a luminal axis extending longitudinally therethrough. The circuitous body includes proximal and distal ends oppositely disposed along a lateral axis of the circuitous body. Each of the proximal and distal ends includes an aperture disposed therethrough such that the circuitous body includes a first configuration wherein the proximal and distal ends are at a maximum separation and a second configuration wherein the proximal and distal ends are closer together than in the first configuration.

Intervertebral device and methods of use

A vertically expandable intervertebral cage, deployment devices, and methods for using the same. The intervertebral cage can include a circuitous body at least partially enclosing an interior volume. The intervertebral cage can also include a front panel which can be formed into a wedge for facilitating implantation of the intervertebral cage into an intervertebral space. The intervertebral cage can be converted from an undeployed configuration, wherein the height of the intervertebral cage is reduced, to a deployed configuration, wherein the height of the intervertebral cage is increased to support end plates of the vertebrae. The intervertebral cage can be converted from the undeployed configuration to a deployed configuration by using a deployment device such as an implantation device and a guide wire. The deployment device can be used to impart a force upon the cage.

Embodiments include a system that facilitates placement of a rod through receiving portions of screws placed along the spine. The system includes a rod and a cable detachably connectable to the rod to pull the rod through the receiving portions of the screws. Some embodiments include methods and devices for inserting a rod into a plurality of screws and for ex situ templating of a rod. These can include connecting a cable to a rod, inserting the cable through the plurality of screws, and using the cable to pull the rod into position. The methods of ex situ templating of the rod can include contacting a templating member to each of the screws so that a portion of the templating members replicate the relative positioning of the screws and shaping a rod to match the relative positioning of the portion of the templating members.

A sacroiliac ('SI') joint fastener apparatus, systems, and methods of using the device is described. The SI joint fastener apparatus can include a distal segment, a proximal segment, and an expandable portion. The expandable portion can be expanded by reducing the distance between the distal and proximal segments. The SI joint fastener apparatus can be used to fuse two bone portions together. The method can include steps of coupling the fastener apparatus to two bone portions, reducing the distance between the two bone portions to place the portions in compression, and applying an outwardly directed force proximate the location to be fused.

Sacroiliac joint fastener, systems, and methods of using the same

A spinal plate for installation on one or more vertebrae. The spinal plate can be an asymmetrical cervical plate. The cervical plate can have a thicker side, a thinner side, one or more threaded fastener holes, and one or more locking fastener holes. The shape of the cervical plate can match the shape of a vertebra to facilitate installation, thus, the thickness of both the thicker and thinner sides, and shape of the cervical plate between the thicker side and the thinner side can match the shape of a vertebra. The cervical plate can include locking features that secure one or more locking fasteners in the one or more locking fastener holes, and thereby secure one or more threaded fasteners in the one or more threaded fastener holes.
