Disclosed is a roof rack attachment arrangement for a roof rack for carrying a load on a vehicle roof including an elongated attachment member body. The attachment member body has a length along a longitudinal axis thereof. The attachment member body includes a first portion that is configured to be attached to a vehicle and a second portion that is configured to be attached to a roof rack. The attachment member body is configured to be movable between an operative position and a storage position.

Load carrier

A wheel holder for a bicycle carrier for a vehicle includes at least one body and at least one fastening member. The wheel holder is configured to receive and retain a wheel having a tread. The at least one body provides a first wheel receiving surface and a second wheel receiving surface. The first and second wheel receiving surfaces are separated by a distance in a first plane. The first plane is aligned with a rotation plane of the wheel of the bicycle after the wheel has been mounted to the wheel holder. A void is formed between the first and second wheel receiving surfaces. The void is configured to receive a portion of the wheel of the bicycle such that the first and second wheel receiving surfaces provide a first support point and a second support point on the tread of the wheel separated by the void.

Wheel holder for a bicycle carrier

A tensioning device for a load carrier, such as a bike carrier or a roof box. The tensioning device includes a torque limiting mechanism which is adapted to limit the amount of transferable torque. The torque limiting mechanism includes a first torque transmission member and a second torque transmission member. The first torque transmission member is biased into working cooperation with the second torque transmission member such that upon a torque threshold value, the first and second torque transmission members are disengaged from working cooperation so that a torque limiting function is provided. An activation member is associated with the first torque transmission member, which enables a user to operate the first torque transmission member to transfer torque to the second torque transmission member.

Tensioning device for a bicycle support assembly or a load carrier

Disclosed is a supporting structure for a roof mounted bike carrier having a wheel tray. The supporting structure includes a first attachment part and a second attachment part which is separable from the first attachment part. The supporting structure includes a bike supporting device having a coupling section coupled to the first attachment part and adapted to support a bike with a supporting section thereof. The first attachment part and the second attachment part are structured so as to be invertedly couplable for providing respective reversed positions of the bike supporting device with respect to the second attachment part.

Roof mounted bike carrier

A wheel holder for a bicycle carrier for a vehicle includes at least one body having at least one wheel receiving surface, a first plane aligned with a rotation plane of the bicycle wheel after the bicycle wheel has been mounted to the wheel holder, and at least one fastening member configured to retain the bicycle wheel to the at least one wheel receiving surface of the body. The fastening member has a released position in which the bicycle wheel can be positioned in the wheel holder and a secured position in which the wheel holder retains the bicycle wheel. The at least one fastening member is configured to extend in a diagonal direction across the first plane when positioned in the secured position.

A roof-rack arrangement for a motor vehicle, including at least one load-bearing bar extending across the roof, a pair of feet, one arranged at each end of the bar, for fastening the load-bearing bar on top of the roof of the vehicle, which feet each have their own support portion for clamping to the respective side portion of the roof, and, arranged on each foot, a bolt connection which extends through a bolt hole in the support portions, is fixed to the roof in an anchoring member and is arranged so as to make possible, by tightening, secure clamping of the support portion between a flange portion of the bolt connection. The flange portion is located on top of the support portion, and the anchoring member. An expander element is arranged between the flange portion and the support portion.

Roof-rack arrangement for a motor vehicle

An anchor for a vehicle roof-top load carrier. The anchor includes a foot arrangement having an attachment portion adapted for releasable attachment to a load carrier strut and an anchorage portion adapted for releasable securing cooperation with a fix point disposed on a carrying vehicle in a mounted configuration. For reference purposes, such a mounted configuration establishes a longitudinal direction of the foot arrangement which is substantially parallel to a straight forward direction of travel of such a carrying vehicle, a vehicle side of the foot arrangement and an exterior side of the foot arrangement. The anchorage portion has a rigidly secured first plate configured for approximate horizontal positioning above a roof of such a carrying vehicle. A second plate is coupled to the first plate for longitudinal movement relative thereto, the longitudinal movement being controlled by a plate guide. First and second gripping members are included that are movable towards and away from one another in the longitudinal direction by an operating device. The first gripping member is longitudinally fixed upon the first plate and the second gripping member is longitudinally fixed upon the second plate. The operating device has an actuator extending transversely to the longitudinal direction and toward the exterior side of the foot arrangement. The operating device has a first operating guide in the first plate that is oriented transversely to the longitudinal direction and a second operating guide in the second plate that is obliquely oriented to the longitudinal direction. A runner is configured to be reciprocally movable under the action of a force member along the transversely oriented first operating guide. The runner has an engagement member positioned in the obliquely oriented second operating guide. Further, the runner and the engagement member are arranged together so that movement of the runner transversely of the longitudinal direction causes movement in the second plate in the longitudinal direction.
