A non-invasive monitoring device for monitoring physiological condition of a subject may include at least one light source for emitting light at at least one predetermined narrow spectral wavelength band onto a living tissue of the subject and two or more light sensors. Each of the two or more light sensors may correspond to a specific substance in a living tissue of the subject and may be configured to measure a change in a concentration of the specific substances to which the sensor corresponds. The distance of each of the two or more sensors from the light source, may be determined so that intensity of light scattered by each specific substance, may have a maximal signal to noise ratio at the determined distance of the corresponding sensor.

Device, system and method for non-invasive monitoring of physiological measurements

This invention discloses a pose tracking apparatus operative to track the pose of a moving object based on magnetic flux measurements taken in the vicinity of the moving object. The pose tracking apparatus includes a non-linear Kalman filter-based tracker. The tracker is operated to receive magnetic flux measurements performed in the vicinity of the moving object, and to operate a non-linear Kalman-type filter on said measurements, thereby to generate information regarding the pose of the moving object. In addition, the pose tracking apparatus includes a pose indicator operative to provide an output indication of the information regarding the pose of the moving object.

Localization and tracking system

A system for monitoring of the position of at least one portion of an object. The system includes a plurality of transmitters operative to transmit alternating magnetic fields within a three-dimensional space, and at least one positioning sensor arranged to be fixed to at least one corresponding portion of the object whose position it is sought to monitor. Each of the positioning sensors includes a magnetic field receiver having at least one active axis and operative to receive at least one component, lying along the at least one active axes respectively, of the alternating magnetic fields. Each of the positioning sensors also includes at least one digital signal processor for storing at least one characteristic of the magnetic fields as transmitted by the plurality of transmitters, and comparing the characteristic to at least one characteristic of the magnetic fields as received by at least a corresponding one of the positioning sensors and, accordingly, determining and providing an output indication of at least one position characteristic of at least one corresponding portion of the object.
