A sealed multiport splitter device and method are disclosed. The fiber optic multiport comprises housing with an interior defining a first chamber and an adjacent second chamber. An optical splitter with a plurality of splitter legs connect to a plurality of optical fibers located in the first chamber. Potting material is disposed in the first chamber to physically secure the optical splitter, the splitter legs and the optical fibers. A wall having a first face and a second face separates the first chamber from the second chamber. The wall has a plurality of slots extended from the first face to the second face. The plurality of optical fibers route through the plurality of slots between the first chamber and the second chamber. A blocking material is adjacent to the wall to inhibit ingress of the potting material into the second chamber while the potting material is being cured.

Device and method for sealing multiport splitters

A multiport assembly includes a shell defining a cavity, a plurality of apertures extending through the shell to the cavity, and a plurality of optical connector ports defining connector insertion paths, a plurality of optical adapter assemblies positioned within the cavity of the shell, and a plurality of sealing piston securing members associated with respective ones of the connector insertion paths, where each of the sealing piston securing members is repositionable between an engaged position, in which at least a portion of the sealing piston securing member intersects the connector insertion path, and a disengaged position, in which a securing portion of the sealing piston securing member is spaced apart from the connector insertion path, and where a width of a button portion of each of the sealing piston securing members is greater than width defined by each of the plurality of apertures.

A multiport assembly includes a shell defining a cavity positioned within the shell, a plurality of optical adapter assemblies, a modular adapter support array engaged with the plurality of optical adapter assemblies and positioned within the cavity, the modular adapter support array defining a plurality of adapter passageways extending through the modular adapter support array in a longitudinal direction, where each adapter passageway of the plurality of adapter passageways extends around at least a portion of a corresponding optical adapter assembly of the plurality of optical adapter assemblies, and a plurality of optical connector defining respective connector insertion paths extending inward from the plurality of optical connector ports to the cavity.

Multiport assemblies including a modular adapter support array

A telecommunications closure includes a base, a cover coupled to the base, and a first interior volume defined between the cover and the base. The cover includes a compartment having an opening and defining a second interior volume. The telecommunications closure also includes a flexible telecommunications line having a first end located within the first interior volume and a second end located outside of the first interior volume. The second end of the telecommunications line has a connector for coupling to other telecommunications lines. A portion of the flexible telecommunications line passes through the opening of the compartment. The telecommunications closure also includes at least one sealing member positioned in the second interior volume of the compartment to seal the flexible telecommunications line in the opening.

A cord storage device has a base member with two sides, and a plug receptacle extending from one side. The plug receptacle anchors a plug end of an electronic device cord and forms a core about which the cord can be wound. A flexible retaining wall is coupled to the base member and moves between a closed position on the one side and an open position on the other side of the base member. In the closed position, an annular space is formed for the wound cord.

Cord storage device

A fiber optic apparatus including a retainer assembly having at least one retainer configured to toollessly, releasably retain a fiber body and or one or more optical fibers is disclosed. An attachment feature may toollessly, removably attach the retainer assembly to a mounting surface. The at least one retainer is configured to releasably retain the fiber body via mounting bosses on the fiber body. A stacking feature may be configured to removably attach a second retainer assembly to the retainer assembly. The at least one retainer may be configured to releasably retain the one or more optical fibers to strain relief the one of more optical fibers. The mounting surface may be fiber optic equipment. The fiber optic equipment may be a shelf mounted to a chassis in a fiber optic equipment rack.

Fiber body holder and strain relief device

Fiber optic housings configured to accommodate fiber optic modules/cassettes and fiber optic panels are disclosed. In one embodiment, a fiber optic apparatus is provided and comprised of a fiber optic housing and one or more removable panel clips. Each of the one or more removable panel clips includes at least one receptacle configured to receive an insert of a fiber optic panel to support the fiber optic panel in the fiber optic housing. In another embodiment, a fiber optic shelf configured to be supported in a fiber optic housing is provided. The fiber optic shelf comprises a mounting surface and one or more removable panel clips attached to the mounting surface that each includes at least one receptacle configured to receive an insert of a fiber optic panel to support the fiber optic panel in the mounting surface. Fiber optic housings configured to accommodate fiber optic modules/cassettes and fiber optic panels, and related components and methods

An adapter housing for receiving a plurality of multi-fiber connectors includes a rectangular, box-like housing structure having opposing side walls and a back wall that to adapted to mount in a 2-U space in an equipment rack, wherein the housing structure has a width of no greater than about 17.75 inches and a height of no greater than about 3.50 inches. A bank of adapters is provided for receiving multi-fiber connectors. The bank of adapters includes individual connector-adapter-connector locations that together receive at least 200 multi-fiber connector pairs within the housing structure.

Removable strain relief brackets for securing fiber optic cables and/or optical fiber to fiber optic equipment, and related assemblies and methods are disclosed. The removable strain relief brackets may be employed to secure fiber optic cable and/or optical fibers routed to fiber optic equipment. The removable strain relief brackets may also be employed to provide strain relief for fiber optic cable and/or optical fibers routed and secure to fiber optic equipment. Fiber optic cable discussed herein includes optical fiber whether disposed in a common cable jacket or disposed freely of each other outside a cable jacket.
