A method of disinfecting a beverage dispenser employs the following steps: disinfecting at least one beverage preparation device of the beverage dispenser as a preceding disinfection step; outputting the beverage by the beverage dispenser, wherein the beverage passes the at least one beverage preparation device; determining the set point of time of the next disinfection step since the preceding disinfection step depending on at least one of the following: volume of beverage output by the beverage dispenser; temperature of beverage output by the beverage dispenser; carbonization of beverage output by the beverage dispenser; further comprising the following steps: mineralizing the beverage with a plurality of ions; dispensing the beverage with a first temperature and mineralizing the beverage with a first concentration of hydrogen carbonate ions; and dispensing the beverage with a second temperature and mineralizing the beverage with a second concentration of hydrogen carbonate ions, wherein the first temperature is lower than the second temperature and the first concentration is higher than the second concentration.

The present invention discloses a beverage dispenser, including: an inlet connected to a water source; an outlet for dispensing the water to a user vessel; at least one filter element having an input and an output for filtered water; a pump for pumping water to the input of the filter element; a flow sensor connected between the inlet and the outlet, wherein the flow sensor determines the actual flow rate of the water; at least one water preparation element connected between the output for outputting filtered water and the outlet and adapted to prepare the water for drinking by a human, wherein the water preparation element comprises a water preparation rate input by which the water preparation rate of the water preparation element can be controlled; and a controller connected to the water preparation rate input of the water preparation element and the flow sensor, wherein the controller controls the water preparation rate of the water preparation element by a signal to the water preparation rate input such that the water preparation rate is proportional to the actual flow rate.

Intelligent beverage dispenser

A metering pump includes a chamber having a proximal portion and a distal portion. A piston is movable in the chamber. A drive drives the piston reciprocally form a proximal dead center to a distal dead center. The distal dead center is at the distal portion and the proximal dead center is located at the proximal portion. An outlet valve at the distal portion allows fluid flow from the chamber if the piston is moved in the distal direction and blocks a fluid flow into the chamber if the piston is moved into the proximal direction. A seal seals the chamber if the piston is positioned at the distal dead center. An inlet valve allows a flow of fluid into the chamber if the piston is moved in the proximal direction and blocks a fluid flow out of the chamber if the piston is moved in the distal direction.
