A method for the automated performance of vehicle functions is specified. The method includes: checking for the existence of a triggering event; if there is a triggering event, selecting a vehicle function procedure schema associated with the present triggering event; generating and outputting a signal representing the linked vehicle function procedure schemato a service; generating and outputting service signalsbased on a signalrepresenting the linked vehicle function procedure schema to control devices; designed for controlling vehicle function devices; generating and outputting control signals based on the service signals to the vehicle function devices; and performing vehicle functionsbased on the control signals. In addition, a system for the automated performance of vehicle functions, a vehicle with such a system, a computer program, and a computer-readable medium are specified.

Control of vehicle functions

A system and/or method include receiving vehicle function sequence schemas, which specify a sequence of vehicle functions in the presence of a triggering event linked to the particular vehicle function sequence schema, checking the received vehicle function sequence schemas, storing the checked vehicle function sequence schemas, and checking the presence of a triggering event, selecting a stored vehicle function sequence schema linked to the present triggering event, generating control signals for controlling vehicle function devices according to the selected vehicle function sequence schema, and outputting the generated control signals to the vehicle function devices.

Methods and systems are provided for an exhaust tract for vehicles having an internal combustion engine, the exhaust tract including a first exhaust gas aftertreatment device and a metering device arranged downstream therefrom. In one example, a region of the first exhaust gas aftertreatment device which is situated downstream is designed as an SCR region. Further, the metering device is designed to spray a reducing agent onto a side of the first exhaust gas aftertreatment device which faces the metering device, counter to a main direction of flow of an exhaust gas.

An operating method for a motor vehicle having a hybrid drivetrain includes, during a demand check, comparing at least one value which characterizes a current state of an exhaust-gas after-treatment device, with a setpoint value of the exhaust-gas after-treatment device. In response to the comparison indicating a deviation of the value characterizing the current state of the exhaust-gas after-treatment device from the setpoint value, a demand for a measure is indicated. The measure includes supplying charge gas, which includes recirculated exhaust gas, to the internal combustion engine during overrun operation. In addition, a capability check is carried out to detect conditions suitable for implementing the operating method.

Methods relating to exhaust after-treatment devices

An immobilizer system for a motor vehicle having an starter mechanism and a substance detector for detecting impairing drugs/substances in a driver's bode, the allowing the vehicle to be started/operated only when the substance detector delivers a result which is below a limit value. An electronic controller of the immobilizer system is programmed by the driver to pre-specify which restrictions the starter mechanism is subject to if the substance detector delivers a positive test result (above a limit level). The immobilizer may be programmed to either a) prevent operation of the vehicle, or b) allow operation but present a notification to the driver. The driver may set a future time interval during which a selection of option a) cannot be changed by the driver.

A method for operating an internal combustion engine having a lean NOx trap connected downstream is provided. The method comprises in a normal operating mode, operating the internal combustion engine with a lean fuel/air mixture, and in a special operating mode, operating the internal combustion engine with a rich fuel/air mixture in order to bring about regeneration of the lean NOx trap, wherein a changeover from the normal operating mode to the special operating mode takes place when switching off of the internal combustion engine is expected.
