A system for an atmospheric suit includes one or more modular proximity sensors affixed to corresponding one or more portions of the atmospheric suit. Each of the one or more proximity sensors provides a distance to a nearest object from the corresponding portion of the atmospheric suit. The system also includes processing circuitry to obtain the distance from each of the one or more proximity sensors to the nearest object and to provide information to the wearer of the atmospheric suit.

Modular proximity sensing in atmospheric suit

A system for visibility in an atmospheric suit includes a camera arranged to view an environment outside the atmospheric suit and a display device to display an image obtained by the camera. An input device obtains input from a wearer of the atmospheric suit. A controller changes a feature of the camera based on the input. The image obtained by the camera and displayed by the display device is modified based on the feature.

A system in an atmospheric suit includes a controller within the atmospheric suit. The system also includes a network that is a hub and spoke network arranged within the atmospheric suit. The controller is the hub of the network and each spoke of the network represents wiring that leads to one of a plurality of ports accessible from outside the atmospheric suit.

A system for support of a user includes an atmospheric suit including a removable support structure, the support structure including a set of poles configured to be engaged with the atmospheric suit in a space environment, wherein each pole of the set of poles includes an attachment device, the attachment device configured to removably attach the pole to the atmospheric suit at a plurality of locations on the atmospheric suit.
