Methods and compositions for stimulating oil or gas production from a well with a single treatment fluid for use in a combined acidizing and hydraulic fracturing treatment are provided. An embodiment is a method comprising: coating a plurality of proppant particulates with oil to form oil-coated proppant particulates; adding the oil-coated proppant particulates to a solution comprising water, an acid source, and an emulsifier, wherein the ratio of the oil coating the proppant particulates to the water in the solution is less than 20:80 by volume; and mixing the solution and the oil-coated proppant particulates to form a treatment fluid comprising a water-in-oil emulsion and the oil-coated proppant particulates.

A method of treating in a subterranean formation including combining a dimer acid; proppant; an emulsifier; an oil base fluid; and aqueous base fluid to form an oil-external emulsified fluid; and introducing the oil-external emulsified fluid into the subterranean formation. A method of forming a wellbore fluid including combining proppant; a dimer acid; an aqueous base fluid, an oil base fluid, and an emulsifier to form a pre-emulsified fluid; and mixing the pre-emulsified fluid to form an oil-external emulsified fluid.

Proppants comprise crosslinked polymers for treatment of subterranean formations. The proppants may have a particle size less than or equal to 100 microns. A method of treating a subterranean formation includes placing a proppant including a crosslinked polymer in the subterranean formation. The placing may include placing the proppant in secondary fractures. Placing the proppant may avoid the closure of the secondary fractures.

Methods and compositions for treatment fluids that include carbonate and bicarbonate to control pH for use in subterranean treatments are provided. In one embodiment, the methods comprise providing a treatment fluid comprising an aqueous base fluid; a crosslinkable polymer; a crosslinking agent; and an amount of carbonate and an amount of bicarbonate, wherein the molar ratio of the amount of carbonate to the amount of bicarbonate is in the range of from about 1:2.3 to about 1:2.7; and introducing the treatment fluid into a wellbore penetrating at least a portion of a subterranean formation.
