An optical tracking system includes optical source devices. The optical source devices are configured to emitting optical signals. A control method, suitable for the optical tracking system, includes following operations. A dimensional scale to be covered by the optical tracking system is obtained. Signal strength of the optical signals provided by the optical source devices is adjusted according to the dimensional scale. The signal strength of the optical signals is positively correlated with the dimensional scale.

Control method for optical tracking system

A head-mounted display device includes a housing, a pair of display modules, a pair of cameras, a driving module and a control system. The housing can cover eyeballs of the user. The cameras are respectively fixed to the display modules to capture images of the eyeballs. The driving module is coupled to the display module to move the display modules relative to the housing. The control system is electrically connected to the of cameras and the driving module. An adjustment method is applicable to the above-mentioned head-mounted display device. An image of the corresponding eyeball is captured by one of the cameras. The control system calculates a deviation between a center of a pupil of the corresponding eyeball and a center of the corresponding image according to the image. The control system controls the driving module to move the display modules relative to the housing according to the deviation.

Head-mounted display device and adjustment method

A positioning system and a positioning method are provided. The positioning system includes a target apparatus, at least one non-optical positioning apparatus, a plurality of optical positioning apparatuses and a host. The non-optical positioning apparatus and the optical positioning apparatuses are disposed in a field. The host determines a rough position of the target apparatus in the field based on a non-optical positioning signal of the non-optical positioning apparatus. The host selects one or more selected optical positioning apparatuses located within a default range of the rough position from the optical positioning apparatuses. The host dynamically enables the selected optical positioning apparatus, and the host dynamically disables the remaining optical positioning apparatus out of the default range among the optical positioning apparatuses.

Positioning system and positioning method

A method for audio-video synchronization in a virtual reality (VR) system is provided. The VR system includes a VR device and a host device. The method includes the steps of: connecting the VR device to a host device via a data transmission interface; transmitting an audio signal and a video signal from the host device to the VR device; estimating time delay information in an audio transmission path and a video transmission path of the VR device; transmitting a feedback signal recording the time delay information from the VR device to the host device; and adjusting timing of the audio signal or the video signal transmitted from the host device to the VR device according to the feedback signal.

Method for synchronizing video and audio in virtual reality system

A virtual reality system is provided. A head mounted display apparatus is coupled to a host device via a transmission cable. A multimedia module receives multimedia content via a first signal path of the transmission cable. A multi-sensing module obtains sensing information regarding the head mounted display apparatus and the user. A power management device controls the power status of the multimedia module, the multi-sensing module, and the peripheral hub according to a power voltage via a third signal path of the transmission cable. The micro control unit detects in which mode the virtual reality system is operating according to the signal status of the first and second signal paths of the transmission cable to notify the power management device to control the power status of the multimedia module, the multi-sensing module, and the peripheral hub.

Virtual reality system and method for controlling operation modes of virtual reality system

A virtual reality system is provided. The virtual reality system includes a host device, a transmission cable, and a head mounted display apparatus worn by a user and coupled to the host device via the transmission cable. The head mounted display apparatus includes a multimedia module, a multi-sensing module, and a peripheral hub. The multimedia module receives multimedia content from the host device via the transmission cable, and displays a video part of the multimedia content. The multi-sensing module obtains sensing information regarding the head mounted display apparatus, the user and an obstruction. The peripheral hub provides the sensing information to the host device via the transmission cable. At least one virtual object of the video part of the multimedia content is adjusted in response to the sensing information.

A virtual reality system is provided. The virtual reality system includes a host device and a head mounted display apparatus to be worn by a user. The head mounted display apparatus includes a first wireless module, a second wireless module, a multimedia module, a multi-sensing module, and a peripheral hub. The multimedia module receives multimedia content from the host device through the first wireless module. The multi-sensing module obtains sensing information regarding the head mounted display apparatus and the user. The peripheral hub receives communication data from the host device through the second wireless module, and provides the sensing information to the host device through the second wireless module.
