A method according to some embodiments includes receiving identification of a cell in a Secondary eNodeB (SeNB cell) that is proposed to be added to a Secondary Cell Group of a user equipment node, a Closed Subscriber Group (CSG) ID associated with the SeNB cell and a CSG Membership status of the user equipment node relative to the CSG ID; determining if the SeNB cell is operating in a closed or hybrid access mode; adding the SeNB cell to the Secondary Cell Group of the user equipment node in response to determining that the SeNB is operating in the hybrid access mode; and thereafter, verifying the CSG Membership status of the user equipment node relative to the CSG ID.

Mobility signalling for user equipment using dual connectivity

A first base station provides radio communication service to user equipments, UEs, and a second base station that provides radio communication service to UEs in adjacent cell service area. The first base station receives cell range expansion, CRE, information from the second base station for expanding the size of the first cell and evaluates handover of one or more UEs with respect to the second cell based on the CRE information. In one embodiment, the second base station determines a CRE related configuration that includes the CRE information with respect to the first cell, sends the CRE information to the first base station. For example, the second base station may send a handover request including the CRE information to the first base station. The second base station also may consider CRE information in handover evaluation.

Methods and apparatus for hetergeneous network handover

Cooperating nodes, and methods therein, for mobility procedures in a wireless communication system supporting UE groups. One of the cooperating nodes is a base station being associated with a UE group comprising UEs having correlated mobility related parameters. The method in the base station comprises receiving, from a first UE in the UE group, a mobility related parameter associated with the first UE. The method further comprises determining whether to initiate a mobility related procedure for a second UE in the UE group based on the received mobility related parameter; and further comprises initiating the mobility related procedure for the second UE when it is determined that the mobility related procedure is to be performed. Thereby, prediction and decisions related to mobility events, e.g. handover events, for the second UE or for the whole group may be performed e.g. before or without receiving any mobility information related to the second UE, thereby enabling early prediction and better preparation, which can lead to more robust mobility procedures.

Method and arrangement for mobility procedures supporting user equipment groups

Home base station nodes () that support multi-carrier operation are disclosed. In some embodiments, two carrier signals are transmitted on different frequencies to one or more user devices that support multi-carrier operation, and different global cell identifiers are broadcast on the two carrier signals. Control messages are sent and received for both of the two carrier signals over a single control-plane interface between the home base station () and either a core network node () or a home base station gateway ().

Carrier aggregation support for home base stations

A method is disclosed that can be performed in at least one network node which provides wireless communications service for user equipment nodes (UEs). The method includes detecting uplink interference at an interfered network node. Responsive to the uplink interference, an uplink transmission having a defined configuration is initiated from a UE, which is served by a serving network node. The uplink signal is detected using the defined configuration at the interfered network node. The UE is identified responsive to the detected uplink signal as being a contributor to the uplink interference. An uplink transmission by the UE and/or by another UE served by the serving network node is controlled to reduce uplink interference.
