Laundry treatment appliances for use in a typical household include a tub that has an opening to provide access to the interior and at least partially defines a treating chamber into which fabric items such as clothes, towels, or linens can be placed to undergo a washing operation. A system can be provided for recirculating wash liquid through the tub to reduce water consumption. At least one tank or reservoir and a coagulant dosing system can be included for the chemical treatment of wash water as part of the wash liquid recirculation system. The tank can also serve to separate coagulated solids from the wash water.

A washing appliance includes a drum that is rotationally operable within a tub about a vertical rotational axis. An impeller is positioned within a lower portion of the drum and is rotationally operable about the vertical rotational axis. The impeller includes a plurality of flow channels that extend below the impeller and between the impeller and the tub. A receiver is positioned at a top of the impeller and includes apertures that are in communication with the respective flow channels. A filtering cap is disposed on a top of the receiver and positioned within a medial horizontal level of the tub. The filtering cap includes inlets that direct a toroidal flow into a removable particulate chamber positioned within the filtering cap. The toroidal flow is further directed through the respective flow channels to continue through the toroidal flow within the drum.

The fluid seal configured to seal the tub relative to the closure when the closure is in the closed position. The thermal seal configured to seal the closure relative to the chassis when in the closed position.

A contactless laundry treating apparatus may include a cabinet having a front panel defining an access opening configured to receive laundry items, door attached to the front panel via a hinge assembly, where the hinge assembly may include a hydraulic system arranged on an interior of the front panel within the cabinet configured to engage with a connecting hook arranged within the door to selectively apply an outward force on the connecting hook to open the door and an inward force on the connecting hook to close the door.

A stirrer has a stirrer drive shaft and at least one blade coupled to the stirrer drive shaft and located within the mixing chamber. A food recycler can include a housing defining an interior and an access opening to the interior. A mixing bin can be located within the interior and can have an inlet and an outlet. The food recycler can further include an output bin, the output bin having an inlet. The outlet of the mixing bin can couple or connect to the inlet of the output bin. The food recycler further has a transfer assembly for transferring food waste from the mixing bin to the output bin. The transfer assembly includes a chute mounted to the housing and operably coupling the first outlet of the mixing bin to the second inlet of the output bin, and at least one vibration damper positioned between the housing and the chute configured to allow flexibility of the chute to vibrate relative to the housing.

A laundry appliance includes a cabinet and a tub that is disposed within the cabinet. A first door is coupled to the cabinet and is operable between open and closed positions. A second door is operably coupled to the tub. The second door is configured to move with the tub and independently of the first door in the closed position. A coupling member is at least partially disposed on the first door. The first and second doors are operably coupled by the coupling member.
