A wet mate connection system can be provided for suppling power to a wellbore tool. For example, the wet mate connection system can be positioned downhole in the wellbore. The wet mate connection system can further be electrically coupled with a valve. The wet mate connection system can include a first wet mate connector and a second wet mate connector. The second wet mate connector can be coupled with the first wet mate connector and with the valve. Additionally, the wet mate connection system can include one or more electrical contacts between the first wet mate connector and the second wet mate connector.

Downhole wet mate connection system for wellbore tools

A subsurface safety valve for a wellbore for production of fluids from a subsurface formation comprises a drive portion and an actuator portion. The drive portion comprises a first magnet assembly and the actuator portion comprises a second magnet assembly that is magnetically coupled to the first magnet assembly. At least one of the first magnet assembly or the second magnet assembly comprises a spatially rotated array of magnets arranged such that a magnetic field emitted from an operative side of the spatially rotated array of magnets facing a magnetic coupling is non-zero and such that the magnetic field emitted from a non-operative side of the spatially rotated array of magnets that is opposite the operative side is about zero.

A flapper seat assembly can be replaceable with respect to a safety valve positioned downhole in a wellbore. For example, the safety valve can be positioned downhole in a wellbore and can include a housing. Additionally, the safety valve can include a flow tube that can be coupled to a downhole tool. The flow tube can be removed from the safety valve in response to a first force applied to the flow tube. A portion of the flapper seat assembly can be detached from a housing profile to remove the flapper seat assembly from the wellbore in response to a second force applied to the flapper seat assembly. After removing the flapper seat assembly, a second flapper seat assembly can be attached to the safety valve.

Provided is a downhole device, a well system, and a method. The downhole device, in one aspect, includes an electromagnetic assembly, as well as a magnetic target positioned proximate the electromagnetic assembly, wherein one of the magnetic target or the electromagnetic assembly is coupled with a movable feature of the downhole device, the movable feature configured to move to physically couple or physically decouple the electromagnetic assembly and the magnetic target. The downhole device, according to this aspect, further includes a sensor electrically coupled to the electromagnetic assembly, the sensor configured to sense for a change in a DC power parameter powering the electromagnetic assembly as the electromagnetic assembly and magnetic target physically couple to or physically decouple from one another, the sensed change representative of a change of impedance within a coil of the electromagnetic assembly and employable to estimate the status or health of the downhole device.

Safety valves and methods of using safety valves. The safety valve is provided to a wellbore having a hydrostatic pressure. The safety valve is configured to operate at tubing well pressure. Pressure is applied to the safety valve with a single control line. The safety valve uses an accumulator in fluidic communication with the control line such that pressure acting on the accumulator is fluidically connected to pressure in the control line. The safety valve is insensitive to the hydrostatic pressure.

Provided is a flow control valve, a well system, and a method. The flow control valve, in one aspect, includes a tubular configured to be positioned downhole in a wellbore, the tubular having a central longitudinal axis, and a piston located in the tubular, the piston configured to separate injection fluid located within the tubular from a working fluid located in a sealed working fluid chamber. The flow control valve, according to this aspect, further includes a valve assembly located within the tubular and coupled with the piston, wherein the piston is configured to axially slide within the tubular to move the valve assembly between an open position that provides a fluid passageway for the injection fluid from the tubular into a subterranean formation and a closed position that closes the fluid passageway for the injection fluid from the tubular into the subterranean formation, based upon a density of the injection fluid.

Safety valves and methods of operating the same. An example safety valve includes a first piston disposed within a safety valve body. The first piston forms a first seal with the interior of the safety valve body. The first piston, the interior of the safety valve body, and the first seal define two chambers within the safety valve separated by the first seal. The first chamber is a control line pressure chamber disposed uphole of the first seal, and the second chamber is a fluid compression chamber disposed downhole of the first seal. The control line pressure chamber is pressurized to translate the first piston downhole in an axial direction. A second seal is formed with an annulus outside of and adjacent to the safety valve. A biasing mechanism translates the second piston uphole in the axial direction. A fluid volume chamber is fluidically connected to the fluid compression chamber.

A safety valve for a wellbore for production of hydrocarbons from a surrounding subsurface formation includes a flow tube through which a flow of fluids from the surrounding subsurface formation downhole to a surface of the wellbore, wherein the flow tube comprises a lower end through which the flow of fluids is to enter the flow tube, wherein the flow tube is composed of metal, except for at least a cut out section of the lower end that is composed a polymeric material. The safety valve includes a flapper configured close the safety valve by changing positions to cover an opening at the lower end of the flow tube such that an impact force of the closing on the flapper onto the flow tube is at least partially absorbed by the polymeric material.

A tubular control conduit is disposed in a wellbore having a retractable segment and an abandonable segment, each having an inner bore. Upon retraction of the retractable segment an obstruction member is actuated to form a seal thereby preventing the flow of fluid past the obstruction member in the inner bore of the abandoned segment. Cement is then poured into the wellbore thereby covering the abandoned segment of the tubular control conduit.

An inflow control valve hammer system may include a ram disposed adjacent a valve feature, a hammer device configured to drive the ram into the valve feature, and a retention feature configured to hold the hammer device in a loaded position. The retention feature is configured to release the hammer device to impact the ram in response to a threshold force being exerted on the hammer device, and the impact drives the ram to jerk the valve feature. Additionally, the inflow control valve hammer system may include a spring and an actuator. The spring may be disposed adjacent the hammer device. The spring is configured to exert the threshold force on the hammer device in an energized state. Further, the actuator is configured to energize the spring into the energized state.

Systems and methods of the present disclosure relate to actuator assemblies for downhole tools. An actuator assembly comprises a motor, a spring and a hammer. The spring is adjacent to the hammer, and the hammer operable to compress the spring. The spring is operable to expand. The assembly also includes an anvil adjacent to the hammer. The anvil is operable to move a portion of the downhole tool.

Integration of stored kinetic energy in downhole electrical interval control valves

A method for removing a flapper seat assembly that is replaceable from a safety valve positioned downhole in a wellbore is described herein. For example, the safety valve is positioned downhole in a wellbore and can include a housing. Additionally, the safety valve can include a flow tube coupled to a downhole tool. The flow tube can be removed from the safety valve in response to a first force applied by the downhole tool. A first tool profile can be coupled to a first assembly profile for coupling the downhole tool to the flapper seat assembly after removing the flow tube. A second assembly profile can be detached from a housing profile to remove the flapper seat assembly from the wellbore in response to a second force applied by the downhole tool. After removing the flapper seat assembly, a second flapper seat assembly can be attached to the safety valve.
