Burner tubes for gas grills are disclosed. An example burner tube includes an open front end, a closed rear end located opposite the open front end, opposing upper and lower surfaces extending between the open front end and the closed rear end, opposing right and left side surfaces extending between the upper surface and the lower surface and between the open front end and the closed rear end, and a hollow interior defined by the upper surface, the lower surface, the right side surface, and the left side surface. The hollow interior has a rectangular cross-sectional profile that tapers in a direction moving from the open front end toward the closed rear end. The burner tube further includes a plurality of gas ports extending upwardly from the upper surface, with each one of the gas ports having an exit opening raised above the upper surface.

Example dual-burner assemblies for cookboxes of gas grills are disclosed. An example dual-burner assembly includes a first burner tube and a second burner tube. The first burner tube has a first maximum heat output. The second burner tube has a second maximum heat output. The second burner tube is spaced apart from the first burner tube by a distance of no more than 0.750 inches. The second maximum heat output is less than the first maximum heat output.

Dual-burner assemblies for cookboxes of gas grills

Burner Tubes for Gas Grills are disclosed. An example burner tube includes a linear burner tube including a venturi member disposed within a hollow interior of the linear burner tube proximate an open front end of the linear burner tube. The venturi member includes a front face having an opening configured to receive a neck of a gas valve, an upper flange extending rearwardly from an upper edge of the front face, the upper flange having a downwardly-extending V-shaped segment configured to constrict a region of the hollow interior, and a lower flange extending rearwardly from a lower edge of the front face, the lower flange having an upwardly-extending V-shaped segment configured to further constrict the region of the hollow interior.

The present inventions provide, among other things, tapered burner tubes having raised gas ports and a smooth interior surface free from obstructions. Venturi members creating a smooth flow of the gas/air mixture along the top of the burner tube are also provided.

The present invention provides a barbecue grill assembly comprising a cooking chamber with a cover and a firebox. The cover is moveable between an open position and a closed position. The cover has an inner surface and an internal lip extending from a lower edge region of the inner surface. The firebox has a rim at an upper portion of the firebox wherein the rim defines a periphery of the firebox. When the cover is in the closed position, the internal lip is positioned inward of the firebox periphery. This means that the internal lip is positioned within the perimeter of the firebox, as defined by the rim. The grill assembly further comprises a burner element positioned in the firebox, a cooking grate positioned in the firebox above the burner element, and a frame assembly adapted to support the cooking chamber.

The present invention provides a gas burner such as for use in a barbecue grill with at least one row of burner ports in a linear arrangement along the burner and a flame stabilizing structure having a flame stabilizing port with an extent transecting the linear arrangement of the burner ports. The present invention further provides a flame stabilizer structure that is adapted as a standing pilot for relighting the burner port area in the event of extinguished flame.

The present invention provides a burner tube. The burner tube has a proximal segment, a distal segment, a terminal end, and a plurality of fuel outlet ports. The proximal segment has a union region and is adapted to be connected to a fuel source. The terminal end of the burner tube is connected to the union region such that the terminal end is in fluid communication with the union region. The connection between the terminal end and union region forms a continuous burner tube, or a burner loop for the flow of fuel. An initial flow of fuel diverges in the union region into a first portion and a second portion. The first portion flows through the union region and downstream through the distal segment. The second portion of fuel from the fuel source flows through the union region and downstream through the terminal end.

Handle for a barbecue grill

A gas cooking burner includes a burner base having a base chamber, a burner head having at least one air and fuel mixture exit port, and a venturi having opposed relatively open ends, the venturi providing a passage between the burner base and the burner head. The base chamber surrounds one of the opposed relatively open ends of the venturi and the base chamber has an inner wall which reduces from a wider portion to a narrower portion with a fuel inlet providing access for fuel into the base chamber and a combustion air inlet being disposed about at least a portion of a periphery of the wider portion of the base chamber. The burner further including a means for securing the burner head to the burner base such that the burner head may be lifted off the burner base for inspection and cleaning of the burner base.

Gas cooking burner

An improved burner assembly for use in a gas barbecue grill having a cooking chamber and a fuel supply is disclosed. The burner assembly includes a plurality of burners forming a burner grid with at least two of the burners defining a periphery of the grid and the remaining burners confined within the interior of the grid. The periphery burners are preferably designed with a plurality of openings which direct a flame toward a center vertical plane, while the interior burners preferably direct a flame, by placement of openings, in a substantially vertical direction. Additionally, the interior burner tubes are attached to a crossover tube via a keyed connecting mechanism which prevents improper connections or assembly.

A barbecue grill comprising a grilling housing, and a gas burner mounted adjacent the grilling housing. The gas burner includes a burner base having a base chamber, a burner head having at least one air and fuel mixture exit port, and a venturi having opposed relatively open ends, the venturi providing a passage between the burner base and the burner head.
