Apparatuses, systems, and methods for performing authorization revocation for unmanned aerial vehicles. A cellular network element of a cellular network may receive a request to revoke authorization of a wireless device that is an element in an unmanned aerial system. The cellular network element may provide an indication to the wireless device to disconnect from any other elements of the unmanned aerial system based at least in part on the request to revoke authorization.

Authorization revocation for unmanned aerial vehicles

Apparatuses, systems, and methods for UL traffic throughput enhancements in NSA deployments. A UE may determine that an UL data requirement is substantially greater than a DL data requirement. The UE may perform an UL enhancement procedure based on UL enhancement conditions. The UL enhancement conditions may include determining that a master cell group does or does not operate according to LTE, determining that UL data traffic is only carried via LTE bands or that UL data traffic is split between LTE bands and NR bands, determining that UL carrier aggregation is or is not available, and/or determining that blind secondary cell group addition is supported or is not support by a network. The UE may be configured to perform the at least one UL enhancement procedure thereby enhancing uplink throughput.

Uplink traffic throughput enhancement

A user equipment (UE) that is registered to a stand-alone non-public network (SNPN) can also access services on a public land mobile network (PLMN). The UE accesses the PLMN by transmitting a first signal to a data network, receiving a second signal from the data network in response to the first signal, wherein the second signal identifies a PLMN that is configured to be accessed by the UE via the data network and transmitting a session initiation protocol (SIP) registration request to the PLMN via the data network.

Public land mobile network support for a stand-alone non-public access network

Embodiments are presented herein of apparatuses, systems, and methods for a user equipment device (UE), manufacturer server, and/or cellular network to perform radio capability signaling. A new type of UE radio capability identifier is provided which may allow a network to distinguish between similar UEs that have or have not implemented a capability update. In order to perform a forced capability update, a manufacturer may issue information about the update to a cellular network (and receive acknowledgement of the information) prior to pushing the update to UEs. In response to an unforced capability update, a cellular network may maintain multiple UE radio capability identifiers for similar UEs which have or have not implemented the update. A UE radio capability identifier may be adjusted dynamically in response to temporary changes in the UE's capability.

Enhancements for radio access capability signaling (RACS)

Systems, devices and methods for a user equipment (UE) to perform public land mobile network (PLMN) selection with a non-terrestrial network (NTN). A UE performs a non-access stratum (NAS) procedure with a public land mobile network (PLMN) of an NTN. The UE receives a NAS message from the PLMN, and the NAS message indicates that the UE is not allowed to access a core network of the NTN. The NAS message may indicate that the UE is not allowed to access the core network of the NTN because a location of the UE is unknown to the NTN, that access to the NTN is not allowed in a country in which the UE is located, or that a location of the UE is not within a country associated with the NTN. The UE modifies its PLMN search procedure responsive to receiving the NAS message.

Public land mobile network selection for non-terrestrial networks

Disclosed are systems, methods, integrated circuits and computer readable storage media for configuring time sensitive communications (TSC). The configuring of the TSC includes monitoring, by a user plane function (UPF), a source and destination of packets in a first protocol data unit (PDU) session of a first user equipment (UE) and in a second PDU session of a second UE, pairing a first device side TSN translator (DS-TT) port of the first UE with a second DS-TT port of the second UE when the first PDU session and the second PDU session are served by the same UPF, wherein the pairing is based on the monitoring of the first and second PDU sessions and when the first DS-TT and second DS-TT ports are paired, communicating the packets between the first UE and the second UE in a UE-UE communication without traversing the TSN.

Time sensitive communications between user equipment

A mobile device (UE) may access standalone non-public networks (SNPNs) in various different locations as equivalent SNPNs (eSNPNs) corresponding to a home SNPN of the device. The device may obtain a list of eSNPNs corresponding to the home SNPN, and may access a second SNPN at a location different from a location of the home SNPN, in response to identifying the second SNPN and the list including the second SNPN as an eSNPN corresponding to the home SNPN of the device. The eSNPNs may include roaming eSNPNs (ReSNPNs) for accessing an enterprise NPN globally and/or at various different locations. The eSNPN/ReSNPN list may be maintained in a new network identifier management function (NMF). NPNs may be implemented as network slice instances (NSIs) via identifying data in the single network slice selection assistance information (S-NSSAI). Multiple credentialed SNPNs of a UE may be prioritized for access by the UE.

Non-public wireless communication networks

Methods and devices for selecting an edge application server (EAS) to service a user equipment (UE). One exemplary method incudes determining that a current protocol data unit (PDU) session of an application being executed by a UE is being serviced by a first EAS, determining that the first EAS is no longer suitable to service the application, selecting a second EAS to service the application and instructing the UE to use the second EAS for future PDU sessions for the application.

A cellular network includes a first network component configured to i) identify a first session between a first data network and a user equipment (UE), wherein the first session corresponds to a first session management function (SMF), ii) receive data network access information (DNAI) from a network function, the DNAI corresponding to a second data network and iii) select a second SMF that is to be utilized for a second session between the second data network and the UE. The cellular network also includes a second network component configured to i) store a mapping between the DNAI and the second SMF and ii) transmit an indication of the second SMF to the first network component, wherein the first network component selects the second SMF based on the indication.

Traffic routing towards local area data network per application function request

Systems, devices and methods for a user equipment (UE) to perform public land mobile network (PLMN) selection with a non-terrestrial network (NTN) dedicated to an international area. The UE receives a downlink message from the NTN, where the downlink message includes a public land mobile network (PLMN) identifier of a first PLMN of the NTN including an information element (IE). The IE indicates that the NTN is dedicated to an international area. Responsive to receiving the downlink message, the UE determines a current location of the UE and determines whether the current location is in the international area. The UE provides an international area notification to an access and mobility management function (AMF) servicing the UE to forward to a home PLMN (HPLMN) of the UE indicating whether the current location is in the international area.

Non-terrestrial networks for international areas

Emergency services support is indicated to roaming devices in a wireless network. A user equipment (UE) may receive a message from the wireless network indicating at least one public land mobile network (PLMN) that provides emergency services support for devices in limited service. The UE may store, in a non-volatile memory (NVM), an identifier of the at least one PLMN in a whitelist of limited service emergency services support. In response to a trigger in a roaming limited service condition of the UE, the UE may establish an emergency session with a selected PLMN based on the whitelist of limited service emergency services support.

Systems and methods to indicate emergency services support for roaming users

Embodiments are presented herein of apparatuses, processors, systems, and methods for performing Quality of Service handling procedures. A wireless device may establish a cellular link that provides access to a fifth generation core network. The wireless device may establish a protocol data unit session with a cellular network entity of the fifth generation core network. The wireless device may determine one or more Quality of Service flow descriptions for the protocol data unit session. The wireless device may perform one or more Quality of Service related modifications to the protocol data unit session.

Quality of service handling procedures

Computer systems and methods are described for operating a network data and analytics function (NWDAF) in a cellular core network. The NWDAF receives user equipment (UE) mobility information from a first network function of the cellular network system and receives edge application server (EAS) information from a second network function of the cellular network system. The NWDAF derives data analytics based at least in part on the UE mobility information and the edge application server information.
