Provided herein our graft devices for a patient comprising one or more layers, such as an inner layer and an outer layer. The inner layer comprises a first porous arrangement of fibers defining a first tube comprising an inner wall and an outer wall. The outer layer comprises a second porous arrangement of fibers defining a second tube comprising an inner wall and an outer wall. The second tube surrounds the first tube. A plurality of macropores extend through at least the inner and outer wall of the first tube. The inner and/or the outer layer can comprise a biofragmentable material configured to mechanically fracture into one or more fragments over time. Methods of creating graft devices are also disclosed.

Multiple layer vascular graft

A system for producing a graft device for a patient may comprise: an imaging device configured to produce image data of a tubular conduit; and a processing unit configured to receive the image data from the imaging device. The processing unit may comprise an algorithm configured to process the image data, and produce a construction signal based on the image data. A material delivery device may be configured to receive the construction signal from the processor, and deliver material to produce a 3D covering based on the construction signal. The graft device may comprise the 3D covering positioned about the tubular conduit. Graft devices and methods of producing graft devices may also be provided.

System for producing a graft device with a three dimensional covering

A tubular tissue graft device is provided comprising a tubular member and a restrictive fiber matrix of a bioerodible polymer about a circumference of the tubular tissue. The matrix may be electrospun onto the tubular tissue. In one embodiment, the tubular tissue is from a vein, such as a saphenous vein, useful as an arterial graft, for example and without limitation, in a coronary artery bypass procedure. Also provided is method of preparing a tubular graft comprising depositing a fiber matrix of a bioerodible polymer about a perimeter of a tubular tissue to produce a tubular tissue graft device. A cardiac bypass method comprising bypassing a coronary artery with a tubular tissue graft device comprising a vein and a restrictive fiber matrix of a bioerodible polymer about a circumference of the vein also is provided.

Bioerodible wraps and uses therefor

A medical device for an anastomosis is provided. The medical device distinguishes an inner tubular layer, an outer tubular layer, and a support element defining a longitudinal axis. It further distinguishes two or more independent C-rings distributed and positioned at an acute orientation angle relative to the longitudinal axis of the support element at one end of the support element. The support element and the two or more C-rings are embedded in between the inner and the outer tubular layers. The types of applications one could envision are e.g. a proximal anastomosis, distal anastomosis, or side-to-side anastomoses, in a customized pre-fabricated graft. Embodiments of the invention could also be incorporated into an anastomotic connector device design. Embodiments of the invention could further be envisioned as vascular grafts applications such as Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG), dialysis access grafts and peripheral vascular applications.

Medical device for anastomosis

A system for applying a fiber matrix on a tubular member is provided. A mandrel, configured for atraumatic placement within the tubular member, is included. Methods for atraumatic placement of a mandrel into a tubular member are also provided.

System and mandrel for creating graft devices

A cartridge device is provided for applying a fiber matrix to a tubular member such as a saphenous vein graft. The cartridge includes a housing, a tubular member holder, a rotational drive, and a polymer delivery assembly. The housing defines a chamber which surrounds the tubular member holder. The rotational drive rotates the tubular member during the fiber application process.

Graft devices and methods of use

A graft device is provided comprising a flow conduit and a surrounding covering. The graft device can connect a first body space and a second body space. In one embodiment, the flow conduit is a vein, such as a harvested saphenous vein, useful as an arterial graft, for example and without limitation, in a coronary artery bypass procedure. Also provided are methods of preparing a graft device and connecting the graft device between a first body space and a second body space, such as the aorta and a location on an occluded coronary artery, distal to the occlusion.

Graft devices and methods of fabrication

An apparatus is provided for applying a restrictive fiber matrix to a conduit to create a graft device. A rotating assembly rotates the conduit, and a polymer delivery assembly delivers the restrictive fiber matrix. A controller controls the polymer deliver assembly and the rotating assembly.

Apparatus for creating graft devices

In some aspects, graft devices for a mammalian patient can include a tubular member comprising a first end; and a fiber matrix surrounding the tubular member, wherein the fiber matrix is designed and constructed to be substantially continuously tapered at the first end to define a diameter that increases as it approaches the first end.

Graft devices and related systems and methods

A system for electrospinning a fiber matrix on a tubular member includes at least one nozzle, a tubular member in a spaced relationship to the at least one nozzle, and a fluid source for pressurizing a lumen of the tubular member. An electrical potential is applied between the at least one nozzle and either the tubular member or fluid from the fluid source. The electrical potential draws at least one fiber from the at least one nozzle to the tubular member.

In some aspects, a system for applying a fiber matrix on a tubular conduit is provided. The system can include a tubular conduit, a mandrel and a fiber matrix delivery assembly. The mandrel can comprise an elongate shaft and a rolling membrane configured to atraumatically engage the tubular conduit.
