An organic resistor is provided. The organic resistor includes a rubber substrate and a conducting film disposed over the rubber substrate. The conducting film includes a composite of carbon nanotubes and a nickel phthalocyanine complex dispersed in one or more edible oil(s). The present disclosure also relates to a method of making the organic resistor using rubbing-in technology. The organic resistor of the present invention is environmentally friendly and ecologically clean.

A surface modified electrode and a method of preparing the surface modified electrode are provided. The surface modified electrode includes a glassy carbon electrode and a coating of a compound of formula I disposed on the glassy carbon electrode. The present disclosure also relates to a method of preparing the surface modified electrode. The method includes depositing a slurry of the compound of Formula I on the glassy carbon electrode to form a film and coating a polymer matrix on the film to obtain the surface modified electrode. The present disclosure also relates to a method of preparing the compound of Formula I. The method includes condensing 4-bromobenzaldehyde (4-BBD) and 4-methyl-benzenesulphonylhydrazine (4-MBSH), to obtain a first mixture and precipitating the first mixture to obtain the compound of Formula I. The surface modified electrode is used in an electrochemical sensor for the detection of metal ions. 

Electrochemical sensor for detection of heavy metal ions, and methods of preparation thereof

A surface modified electrode is provided. The surface modified electrode includes a glassy carbon electrode (GCE) and a nanomaterial disposed on the glassy carbon electrode. The nanomaterial comprises carbon nanotubes (CNTs), and at least one of thallium oxide nanoparticles (TlO.NPs), thallium oxide (TlO) nanopowder, and thallium oxide carbon nanotube nanocomposites (TlO.CNT NCs). A polymer matrix is configured to bind the glassy carbon electrode with the nanomaterial. A method of preparing the surface modified electrode is also disclosed. The surface modified electrode can be implemented in a biosensor for detecting a biological molecule, like choline.

Surface modified electrodes, and methods of preparation thereof

A surface modified electrode, and methods for preparing the surface modified electrode for use in an electrochemical sensor for detection of an analyte is described. The surface modified electrode includes a copper oxide (CuO) co-doped tin dioxide (SnO) nano-spikes disposed over a gold-plated chip. The surface modified electrode further includes a polymer matrix (nafion) configured to bind the gold-plated chip with the copper oxide (CuO) co-doped tin dioxide (SnO) nano-spikes. The present disclosure also relates to a process of preparing the surface modified electrode. The surface modified electrode of the present disclosure can be used in electrochemical sensors for detection of analytes, like 4-nitrophenol (4-NP).

Surface modified electrodes and methods of preparation thereof

An electrochemical sensor is provided wherein the sensor includes a nanocomposite comprising zinc oxide nanoparticles, graphene oxide, and PEDOT:PSS binder polymer, wherein the nanocomposite is deposited as a film on a glassy carbon electrode. The sensor may be included in an electrochemical cell useful for methods of detecting phenylhydrazine in a solution.

Electrochemical cell and a method of using the same for detecting bisphenol-A

A novel composition for a photocatalyst Fe doped ZnO nano-particle photocatalyst that enables the decontamination process by degrading toxic organic material such as brilliant cresyl blue, indigo carmine and gentian blue by using solar light is described. In the current disclosure method of making a specific size of the nano photocatalyst is described. Characterization of the photocatalyst, optimal working conditions and efficient use of solar light has been described to show that this photocatalyst is unique. The process described to use the photocatalyst to degrade toxic organic material using the solar light to activate the photocatalyst is cost efficient and cheap to clean our water resources.

Toxic organic materials contaminate water resources and one need to find an easy and energy efficient way to decontaminate water resources. In the current disclosure many examples of characterization of the photocatalyst, optimal working conditions and efficient use of solar light has been described.
