A stackable terminal assembly mounted to structure, including a first eyelet terminal body having a flat base portion, an upstanding wall extending from the base portion generally normal thereto, and a mounting feature for securing the first eyelet terminal body to the structure; and a second eyelet terminal body having a flat base and configured to extend generally parallel to the structure between the base portion and the structure, a second mounting feature configured to allow for securement of the second eyelet terminal body between the structure and the first eyelet terminal body. Wiring harnesses connected to the first and second eyelet terminal bodies may be segregated with a first wiring harness connected to the first eyelet terminal body in a non-sealing fashion and a second wiring harness connected to the second eyelet terminal body in a sealing fashion.

Stackable terminal assembly

A power distribution assembly that has a cover which selectively seals over an opening in a housing of the power distribution assembly, a locking assembly for securing the cover in a secured position, and a closure detection switch that provides notification when the cover is open. A readable media may be included on the cover to provide an indication of complete closure of the cover on the housing.

Power distribution assembly

A high-voltage module, such as a traction battery, a traction inverter, or a DC/DC converter of a traction powertrain of an electrified vehicle (EV), includes an enclosure, an electronics assembly for performing electrical power operations, and a fuse box for providing a power distribution and fuse protection arrangement to the electronics assembly. The enclosure includes a main enclosure portion and a secondary enclosure portion integrated together. The electronics assembly is housed within the main enclosure portion and the fuse box is housed within the secondary enclosure portion.

A high-voltage module, such as a traction battery, a traction inverter, or a DC/DC converter of a traction powertrain of an electrified vehicle (EV), includes an enclosure and a fuse box. An electronics assembly for performing electrical power operations is housed within the enclosure. The enclosure has a socket. The fuse box is removably insertable into the socket of the enclosure. The fuse box connects to the electronics assembly while the fuse box is inserted into the socket of the enclosure for the fuse box to provide a power distribution and fuse protection arrangement to the electronics assembly.

A grommet for protecting a tube, the grommet including a first port, a second port, and a flexible bellows disposed therebetween. The first port defines a central axis and includes: a conduit leading to the bellows and a first strap tower defining at least one first strap aperture. A tube extends out of the conduit. A first strap is wrapped around the tube and extends through the at least one first strap aperture to securing the tube to the first strap tower.

A grommet for protecting a tube includes a first port, a second port, and a flexible bellows disposed therebetween. The first port defines a central axis and includes: a conduit leading to the bellows and a first strap tower defining at least one first strap aperture. A tube extends out of the conduit. A first strap is wrapped around the tube and extends through the at least one first strap aperture to securing the tube to the first strap tower.

Systems and methods are provided for securing wiring to a grommet with embedded lubricant by employing a series of pressure rings both on the interior and exterior of the grommet opening. In exemplary implementation, a tie strap is tightened around the wiring and then forced into the grommet opening before a second tie strap is tightened around both the wiring and grommet opening.

Systems and methods for securing grommet to wiring

A vehicle includes a body panel defining a pass-through, a grommet sealed against the body panel, an electrical connector having a surface defining a sleeve and a tab, and a walled retainer in the grommet and seated within the pass-through. The walled retainer has a prong formed thereon. The prong is configured to slidably receive the sleeve orienting the electrical connector within the pass-through. The prong further defines a channel terminating a ledge. The channel, ledge, and tab are arranged such that the channel and ledge cooperate to retain the tab to prevent movement of the connector relative to the walled retainer.

Grommet assembly for vehicle body panel

A grommet includes a body having a first wall and a second wall. A passageway extends from the first wall to the second wall, and a service port extends from a first end adjacent to the first wall to a second end adjacent to the second wall. A first cap is integral with the first wall and covers the first end of the service port. Similarly, a second cap is integral with the second wall and covers the second end of the service port.

A grommet providing triple sealing feature when mounted in an opening of a panel is disclosed. When the panel into which the grommet is mounted is between a compartment exposed to ambient conditions and a passenger compartment, a seal minimizes water, fumes, dust, and noise from entering into the passenger compartment. The triple seal, according to an embodiment, provides higher sealing forces than shown previously. The disclosed grommet can be engaged with a flat, non-flanged panel as well as a panel having a flange near the opening. The disclosed grommet has multiple longitudinal slits sawed through a tubular portion of the grommet through which the wiring harness is threaded. The cuts allow a subset of wires to be splayed out from the grommet at a different routing than the remainder of the wires in the wiring harness bundle.
