A method for clearing an obstruction in a wellbore may include opening a first choke that is in fluid communication with the wellbore. This may create a first pressure in the wellbore. The first choke may then be closed. If the choke is adjustable, the choke size may be adjusted to a second size and opened. If the choke is fixed, a second choke of a different size is then opened. When the second choke is opened, a second pressure may be created in the wellbore that is different from the first pressure. The second choke may then be closed. For an adjustable choke, the size is changed to either the first size or a third size. For a fixed choke, either the first choke or a third choke that has a different size may be opened. These steps may be repeated until the obstruction in the wellbore is cleared.

A well system that includes a wellbore extending from a surface location and through one or more hydrocarbon bearing subterranean formations, the wellbore containing a downhole fluid, an artificial lift system arranged within the wellbore and in fluid communication with the downhole fluid, the artificial lift system including a cavitation apparatus having one or more blades. The cavitation apparatus is configured to mechanically rotate the one or more blades through the downhole fluid and thereby cause cavitation in the downhole fluid.

A system includes a cyclonic separator that separates a first production fluid into a lighter phase and a heavier phase and a pipe that transports the lighter phase from a first exit of the cyclonic separator to an annulus. The pipe includes an inlet fluidly connected to the cyclonic separator, a first outlet fluidly connected to the annulus, and a second outlet fluidly connected to the annulus. The system also includes a low pressure recombination zone that reintroduces the lighter phase to the heavier phase, thereby forming a second production fluid. The low pressure recombination zone transports the second production fluid to a well exit.
