Systems and techniques are described for providing optimized vehicle-to-everything (V2X) safety messages over a wide area network (Uu) interface. For example, method for wireless communications may include receiving, by a network device, one or more first messages from one or more vehicles. Each of the first message(s) includes vehicle information associated with a respective vehicle of the vehicle(s). The method may include determining, at the network device, one or more recipient vehicles for one or more second messages based on at least a portion of the vehicle information from the first message(s) and characteristics associated with a respective recipient vehicle of the recipient vehicle(s). The method may include transmitting, at the network device, the second message(s) to the recipient vehicle(s).

Optimized vehicle-to-everything (V2X) messaging

Disclosed are systems, apparatuses, processes, and computer-readable media for wireless communications. For example, a process may include receiving, at a network device (e.g., a vehicle or other type of network device), a plurality of messages using a first type of communication protocol, wherein the network device is part of a platoon including a plurality of network devices (e.g., a plurality of vehicles or other network device). The process may include generating, at the network device, a summary message summarizing the plurality of messages. The process may include transmitting the summary message using a second type of communication protocol.

Platoon-based protocol interworking

Collaborative enhanced sensing systems and techniques are described. A system obtains sensor data of an environment from one or more sensors. The sensor data includes different representations of one or more portions of the environment from multiple perspectives. The system identifies a subset of the different representations of the one or more portions of the environment based on context corresponding to a vehicle in the environment. The context can include, for example, a position, a direction of travel, a speed, and/or a planned movement of the vehicle. The system causes an enhanced representation of the environment for the vehicle to be generated at least in part based on consolidating and/or fusing together the subset of the different representations. The system can cause an indication of the enhanced representation of the environment to be output at the vehicle.

Systems and methods of collaborative enhanced sensing

Method and apparatus for maintaining C-V2X timing (e.g., in platoon scenarios). The apparatus of a slave UE determines a thermal condition of the respective slave UE within a platoon of UEs. The apparatus performs synchronization with a first synchronization source, directly or indirectly, based on the thermal condition of the slave UE. Synchronization is performed directly with the first synchronization source in response to a determination that the thermal condition of the slave UE is below a threshold. Synchronization is performed indirectly with the first synchronization source through a master UE within the platoon of UEs in response to a determination that the thermal condition exceeds a threshold. The apparatus may receive, from a master UE within the platoon of UEs, SLSS to synchronize indirectly to the first synchronization source through the master UE.

Thermal efficient method to maintain CV2X timing

Disclosed are systems, apparatuses, processes, and computer-readable media for wireless communications. For example, an example of a process includes receiving, by an onboard unit (OBU) of a vehicle, sensor data from a plurality of sensors of the vehicle. The process may include determining, by the OBU based on the sensor data, a score level for an event associated with the vehicle. The process may further include determining the score level is greater than a threshold score level and, based on the score level being greater than the threshold score level, broadcasting an alert message related to the event to one or more devices.

Smart vehicle malfunction and driver misbehavior detection and alert

Disclosed are techniques for performing thermal mitigation for one or more devices. For instance, a temperature, humidity, amount of light, and/or other characteristic or factor associated with a vehicle can be obtained. Whether to transition one or more communication functions from the vehicle to a user device can be determined based on the temperature, humidity, etc. In response to a determination to transition the one or more communication functions, the one or more communication functions can be transitioned from a communication unit of the vehicle to a communication unit of the user device.

Thermal mitigation enhancement

Various embodiments include method performed by a processor of a roadside unit (RSU) processing system for controlling a message transmissions. In various embodiments, the RSU processing system may receive vehicle-to-everything (V2X) information from a vehicle, determine, based on the received V2X information, a minimum reception distance at which the vehicle or operator of the vehicle will reliably receive a message from the RSU and have time for the vehicle to react to the message, determine a transmission power level based on the determined minimum reception distance, and transmit the message to the vehicle using the determined transmission power level. In various embodiments, the RSU processing system may determine the transmission power level taking into account vehicle speeds, vehicle locations, road conditions, weather conditions and/or the type of message being transmitted.

Roadside unit message transmission management

A radio frequency signal transfer anomaly notification method includes: determining, at a first roadside unit, presence of an anomaly of radio frequency signal transfer within a wireless communication range of the first roadside unit; determining a type of radio frequency signal transfer of the anomaly; and transmitting, from the first roadside unit to another entity, an anomaly indication indicative of the anomaly of radio frequency signal transfer and the type of radio frequency signal transfer of the anomaly.

A vehicle may transmit, to a network entity, a lane use request message associated with a lane for the vehicle. The network entity may identify lane information associated with a lane for a vehicle. The network entity may identify vehicle information associated with the vehicle. The network entity may transmit, to the vehicle, and the vehicle may receive, from the network entity, a lane use grant message based on at least one of the identified lane information or the identified vehicle information. The lane use grant message may be indicative of a permission for the vehicle to use the lane. The vehicle may not be permitted to use the lane without the permission. The lane may correspond to a flexible direction lane, an emergency lane, a road shoulder, an HOV lane, or a passing lane.

Method and apparatus for cooperative early threat detection. In some aspects, the apparatus detects one or more object data signals having data that interferes with wireless resources utilized in automated driving decisions. The apparatus transmits, to at least a second wireless device, a message indicating the one or more object data signals having the data that interferes with wireless resources utilized in automated driving decisions. The one or more object data signals may correspond to a misbehaving wireless device. The data of the misbehaving wireless device may comprise implausible data related to at least one characteristic of the misbehaving wireless device.

Cooperative early threat detection using sensor sharing

Method and apparatus for cooperative early threat detection and avoidance in C-V2X. In one aspect, the apparatus detects a threat entity within a threat zone based on data signals received from the threat entity, wherein the threat entity obstructs wireless spectrum or resources utilized in cooperative or automated driving decisions. The apparatus transmits, to at least one second wireless device, a message indicating the threat entity within the threat zone.

Sensor data sharing for automotive vehicles

Techniques are discussed herein for transmission of location information by a user equipment (UE) to other UEs. A UE receives Satellite Positioning System (SPS) signals and determines whether the SPS signals are reliable. The UE determines a location estimate to be transmitted to other UEs using the SPS signals if the SPS signals are determined to be reliable and using non-SPS information if the SPS signals are determined to be not reliable. The location information is transmitted to other UEs in a message that includes an indication of the source of information used to generate the location estimate. A UE that receives the message may determine its location estimate based, at least in part, on the indication of the source of information, e.g., by determining whether SPS signals are reliable based, at least in part, on the indication of the source of information received in the message.
