A signal time delay estimation method includes: obtaining, at an apparatus, a plurality of RFFPs (radio frequency fingerprints) each based on a plurality of signal measurements of respective signals transferred between respective ones of a plurality of wireless signal transfer devices; obtaining, at the apparatus, a plurality of locations corresponding to the plurality of wireless signal transfer devices; and implementing, at the apparatus, a machine-learning algorithm to provide at least one first indication of at least one first signal time delay to convert between a first wireless signal at a target device, of the plurality of wireless signal transfer devices, and a first baseband signal at the target device based on the plurality of RFFPs and the plurality of locations.

In a first aspect, a method of wireless communication includes receiving at a network node participating in 5G NR RF sensing a first polarization indicator and a second polarization indicator from a network entity. The first polarization indicator is associated with transmission of a first reference sensing signal and the second polarization indicator is associated with reception of a second reference sensing signal. The network node performs sensing measurements using the first polarization indicator and the second polarization indicator and transmits a sensing measurement report including the sensing measurements associated with the second reference sensing signal to the network entity. In an aspect, a user equipment (UE) may acquire, from a first set of transmission/reception entities (TREs), a first set of measurements of signals. The UE may select, from the first set of TREs, a second set of TREs, based on criteria for selecting and/or prioritizing TREs for radio frequency fingerprint (RFFP)-based positioning. The UE may acquire, from the second set of TREs, a second set of measurements, the second set of measurements comprising RFFP measurements. The UE may estimate a position of the UE based on the second set of measurements. In an aspect, the UE may input the second set of measurements into a trained machine learning (ML) model that outputs an estimated position of the UE. In an aspect, the UE receives the selection/prioritization criteria and/or the trained ML model from a network node.

Signaling of measurement prioritization criteria in user equipment based radio frequency fingerprinting positioning

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that provide for mitigation of interference related to full-duplex communications for random access channel (RACH) initial access procedures in shared radio frequency spectrum. A user equipment (UE) may send different RACH preambles subsequent to a channel access procedure, based on whether full-duplex communications or half-duplex communications are being used at a corresponding network entity. The different RACH preambles may include a longer RACH preamble that is used when full-duplex is present, and a shorter RACH preamble that is used when full-duplex is not present. The shorter or longer RACH preamble may be used, for example, based at least in part on an open-loop transmit power for the RACH procedure, a RACH occasion configuration that provides different preamble lengths for different RACH occasions, a full-duplexing type that is being used, or any combinations thereof.

Specifically, aspects of the disclosure describe techniques for defining one or more directional beams as a narrow beam, where the relative narrowness of the beam may be determined in the context of interference (e.g., as opposed to being defined from a geometric perspective). For example, a particular beam may be determined to be a narrow beam, and therefore associated with communications in shared radio frequency spectrum bands without channel access procedures, based on one or more metrics and a number of spatial streams associated with the beam. A device may use such narrow beams for communications without channel access procedures in shared radio frequency spectrum bands.
