The present disclosure is directed to an electric vehicle cordset and system for identifying faults in an electric vehicle cordset. The electric vehicle cordset and system include a cordset controller. The cordset controller includes a cordset processor, a plurality of fault detection circuits connected to the cordset processor, and a first status light connected to the cordset processor. The cordset processor is configured to execute a set of instructions including identify a fault in one of the fault detection circuits, terminate power in the cordset, turn on the first status light indicating the fault is present, and encode the fault in the first status light through modulating the first status light.

A warning system is provided for alerting a VRU of a predicted collision. The system includes one or more input devices for transmitting first and second input signals for associated first and second vehicles. The system further includes a UWB beacon communicating with a UWB tag of a VRU notification device carried by the VRU. A location of the UWB tag is trackable via a third input signal. The system further includes a computer having one or more processors and a non-transitory computer readable medium. The processor is programmed to determine the location of the VRU and further determine the predicted collision between the second vehicle and the VRU. The processor is further programmed to generate a notification actuation signal associated with the VRU at a tracked location. The VRU notification device notifies the VRU that the second vehicle is headed toward the predicted collision site in the crosswalk.

The image has a first portion and a second portion. The first portion of the image includes a trailer connected to the vehicle and the second portion of the image. The controller is further programmed to display the second portion of the image to the occupant using the display based at least in part on the first portion of the image.

A system for dynamically calculating collision avoidance metric thresholds for a vehicle includes a vehicle sensor, a passenger position tracking device, and a controller. The controller is in electrical communication with the vehicle sensor and the passenger position tracking device. The controller is programmed to determine a collision avoidance metric using the vehicle sensor, determine an offset to a collision avoidance metric threshold using the passenger position tracking device, and adjust the collision avoidance metric threshold based on the offset. The controller is also programed to compare the collision avoidance metric to the collision avoidance metric threshold and perform an action in response to determining that the collision avoidance metric is less than or equal to the collision avoidance metric threshold.

A system for enhancing occupant awareness for a vehicle includes a display for displaying information to the occupant of the vehicle and a controller in electrical communication with the display. The controller is programmed to determine an activation state of the system. The activation state includes an activated state and a deactivated state. The controller is further programmed to determine a clearance distance between the vehicle and an object in an environment surrounding the vehicle in response to determining that the activation state is the activated state. The controller is further programmed to display a notification to the occupant of the vehicle based at least in part on the clearance distance.

A warning system is provided for alerting a Vulnerable Road User (VRU) of a predicted collision. The system includes one or more input devices for transmitting a first input signal associated with a first vehicle positioned in a first lane, a second input signal associated with a second vehicle positioned in a second lane, and a third input signal associated with the VRU located on a crosswalk that extends across the first and second lanes. The system further includes a computer having a processor and a non-transitory computer readable medium. The processor is programmed to determine the predicted collision between the second vehicle and the VRU at a predicted collision site. The processor is further programmed to generate an actuation signal. One or more roadway notification devices notify the VRU that the second vehicle is positioned in the second lane and headed toward the predicted collision site in the crosswalk.

A system for sharing sensor data between a vehicle and a plurality of remote system generally includes a vehicle communication system, a three-dimensional (3D) sensor, and a controller. The controller is programmed to generate an initial 3D point cloud using the 3D sensor, generate an occupancy grid map based on the initial 3D point cloud, and select a producer remote system to provide data for a cell of the occupancy grid map classified as a first blindspot. The controller is further programmed to send a data request to the producer remote system using the vehicle communication system, receive data from the producer remote system including information about the cell of the occupancy grid map classified as the first blindspot, generate a merged 3D point cloud by merging the data received from the producer remote system with the initial 3D point cloud, and identify objects using the merged 3D point cloud.

A cross-traffic warning system for a motor vehicle includes first and second input devices transmitting associated first and second input signals for first and second detected objects positioned on the roadway. The system further includes a computer having one or more processors and a computer readable medium storing instructions. The processor is programmed to determine that the first object is a Vulnerable Road User ('VRU') travelling on a first path based on the first input signal. The processor is further programmed to determine that the second object is a third party vehicle and further that the VRU and the third party vehicle are travelling on an associated one of first and second paths to imminently collide with one another based on the first and second input signals. The processor is further programmed to generate an actuation signal in response to the processor determining the imminent collision.

A one pedal driving system for an electric vehicle including one or more electric motors includes a controller in wireless communication with one or more external vehicle networks. The controller executes instructions to receive, from the one or more external vehicle networks, an active zone notification that indicates the electric vehicle is traveling into a one pedal driving zone. The one pedal driving zone represents a section of roadway where the electric vehicle decelerates from an initial speed. The controller executes instructions to receive a pedal notification that a driver foot is removed from an accelerator pedal of the electric vehicle. In response to receiving the active zone notification and the pedal notification, the controller instructs the electric vehicle to decelerate from the initial speed by a regenerative braking torque that is created by the one or more electric motors to counteract a forward momentum of the electric vehicle.

An automated driving system (ADS) of an autonomous vehicle includes a communication module, a perception module, a misbehavior detection module, and a processor. The communication module is configured to receive a vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) message comprising message-based vehicle data. The perception module configured to receive sensor data from at least one vehicle sensing device. The misbehavior detection module is configured to determine whether the V2V message is one of a legitimate message and a malicious message based at least in part on a comparison of the message-based vehicle data with sensor-based vehicle data generated based on the sensor data. The processor is configured to manage performance of the autonomous vehicle in accordance with the message-based vehicle data based on the determination. Other embodiments are described and claimed.
